HayDay,
The blood Issue is one of the reasons that the Bonam Texas Cong. wanted to split off.
D_F
is there a possibility that the watchtower will be split into two opposing camps at sometime in the foreseeable future?
judging from the past, do we envisage such a scenario happening before our eyes?.

but also one breakaway group or groups claiming a stake on all those assets of the Watchtower.
Highly unlikely Scott77 since there is an established board of directors appointed to the WTS. Corporation, even if it is
recognized as non-profit organization. So even if a couple of the GB members wanted to depart with the organization and take some
of the assets with them they couldn't do it.
Thetrueone,
What makes it so unlikley? This is esentially what happend in Menlo Park. The Menlo Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Inc. had an established board of directors apointed by the baptized publishers of the Menlo Park congregation. Then a group of elders from the Redwood City Congregation created a coporation called "the English Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Menlo Park California Inc." Came to the MP Hall, changed the locks, told the Origional Board Members that they were kicked out, and then fradulently changed the Corporate name from the origional, to the new one. Following that, the RWC elders put their name on the MP Congregations assets. All of that is not legal under California Coporate Code which is what governed the origional coporation since the origional coporation had no corporate bylaws, but that didn't stop them.
What is to stop me, and two other people from creating a coporation called "The American Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society" apointing myself as CEO and kicking all thouse jokers out????? (I mean aside from lack money to bribe the Judges.)

it saddens me to inform you that ruth edwards has passed.
ruth was a long time member of the menlo park congregation.
when the letter was read that indicated that john cobb, jason cobb, walter st. clair, and george stock had been removed from their post as elders, ruth fainted and needed to be taken to the hospital.

LV101,
I did not come down on either side regarding Anon Hacking. I sugested that the topic be taken to it's own thread as I feel it is not appropriate in this thread. The issue of hacking the WT was starting to feel like people seeking revenge. I understant that anger is a part of death, but Mostly the people that I have talked to about Ruth are sad to see her pass at such a young age (mid 70's). I don't think Ruth or her family would have wanted revenge.
My intent in posting this thread was to let people know that there is a lot of sadness around this issue, and a lot of lives, and familys that are being destroyed. It's geting too easy to see who cares about the congregants, and who does not.

Hello all,
Please take the hacking issue to another thread. Lets please show respect to Ruth.
Thanks,

after reading much on this scandal, we know that many if not all jws will not go out of there way to read up on this info.
does anyone know what the rumor in the congregations are about this topic?
i'm sure alot of them are just taken back by fellow witnesses taking the society to court, bringing reproach on god's name.
Metatron,
Winning in court now will be accomplished when at least one of the defendents goes to jail for their crimes. If you get one, he will squeel on the rest of them. these defendents are so old that even a 10 year sentance might as well be life. they will squeel for sure to reduce their sentance to a fine, or even a year.
The new lawsuit is allready making WT heads explode. I've read part of the complaint, and, well..... Lets just say that we are looking forward to the next article from ex-jw.com

Metatron,
Re: the last line.
That was never what was decided, simply an idea kicked around as to what to do if they won.
This case has moved beond the MP KH. Winning now is holding to account the people who have commited crimes. It has become apparent that these defendants will do any thing they think they can get away with, and they think they can get away with anything. They don't know when to stop commiting crimes, and they spend a lot on bribes. they intimidate every witness, and use any means they have, legal or not, to try to get this case shut down.

I am told that she may have had a mild heart attack at that time two and a half years ago. Ruth was a kind and loving Sister. She passed last week. I understand that the family does not want her memorial service to be held at the Menlo Park Kingdom Hall because of all of the termoil that has occured there. Where ever it is held, I'm sure that all our prayers will be with her and her family.
My condolences,

Wasanelder, Thanks for the correction.
Oppostate,
In the MP Cong. it was "Suggested" by WTS that they change the coporate bylaws as you mentioned. The Elders held a buisness meeting to discuss this in 2008 and decided that "things are fine the way they are."
California Corporate law has no requirement for the Board of Directors of a corporation to be "Elders" or even JW's for that matter. therefore the WTS had no legal right to remove them from their offices.
I'm betting that the WTS skiped some home work (Checking the corporate bylaws) before they started this take over attempt.

Magi,
Google Bonam TX Kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for more info on that. Sadly there isn't much info.
The Menlo Park KH was under the same corporate arangement owned by "The Menlo Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Inc." the loan for the MP KH was financed by a wealthy brother rather then the WTS. The MP Congregation paid off the loan in 2009 right before the WTS started this scam which I am sure they had been planning for years.
What the WTS were not banking on was that when they asked the MP BOE to install corporate bylaws to essentially give WTS control of the corporation, the local BOE decided that they were just fine under California corporate law and declined to install the by laws. (mid 2008) Therefore, wile the WTS can remove them as elders, they have no legal right to remove them from the BOE. Only the local congregation can remove them from the BOE at the Biannual buisness meeting by voting a new BOE in.
This case is like the Bonam TX case with the twist that the WTS has gotten more ruthless, and has broken the law.
