by KHA ini wanted to start a discussion about known instances where the wt society has refused to pay out on insurance claims to congregations who have their kingdom hall insured through the in-house insurance scheme known as the kingdom hall assistance arrangement.. i know of two recent cases in the uk where kingdom halls have been badly damaged by water.
one happened 6 months ago, the other a few years ago.
the congregations have been told to share halls with a neighbouring congregation whilst the wt society asked for report after report on the condition of the building and estimates for repair/demolition.

I believe the WT has allowed some leeway recently... now you're allowed to accept a blood transfusion as long as you cry during your Judical Comittee hearing and say you failed Jehovah... then they'll forgive you or look the other way...

In my case I suspected something wasn't quite right in 2007 when 1935 was quietly swept under the rug when no one was looking. I then starting lurking on some sites for answers and stopped lurking in 2009... Then I received my April 15, 2010 study edition of the Watchtower and read the BS about the Overlapping Generations several times until I realized the WT was back-peddling again... I then read COC, In Search of, Gentile Times Reconsidered, Finished Mystery, a few rainbow books and that was it... My last meeting was on Sunday June 6, 2010... I walked out before the Public Talk finished... the speaker was rambling on about satellites being signs in the heavens... i just couldn't stomach it any more...
can't wait until June 6, 2011 to celebrate my first anniversary of escaping the cult...

I love the "advice" given on page 2, paragraph regarding "street witnessing"...
Take the initiative: It is generally better to approach individuals rather than to stand or sit in one place waiting for passers-by to approach you. Smile, make eye contact, and have a calm, friendly manner. If you are working with other publishers, it is usually best to approach people separately. Initiative is also needed to follow up on the interest that you find.

Kingdom Hall Librarys : Can you still Veiw Older Publications ?eg:Russells,Rutherfords books ?? or even books from the ~50s
by smiddy ini`m just curious if such books as "life everlasting in freedom of the sons of god " " let your will be done on earth" etc.
are still available in the kingdom hall libraries and if they are then that should be a wake up call to all jehovah`s witnesses.. if they are not then that should be an even bigger wake up call to all jehovah`s witnesses.
the bible has never been altered in 2000 years under the direction of holy spirit.

No one ever had time in my KH to look up anything in the "library" (old or new) since the back room would always be occupied by elders and a spiritually weak brother or sister in the hot seat...
