Church Foreclosures on the Rise... The Great Tribulation is around the corner
by Alfred ino.k.
... i know the big a isn't happening.... but i'm sure the watchtower will soon use this information in their boasting/ recruiting sessions.... http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/09/us-usa-housing-churches-idusbre82803120120309.
i think these chuches should consider taking a page from the watchtower's "revenue generation manual"... page 1: collect contributions so they can build their own hall, build the hall with free labor, make them pay for the hall a second time with a low-interest loan, make them remodel several times with low-interest loans... sell the hall and start all over again... lather, rinse, repeat.... .

Do JW's only help JW's in a disaster zone?
by not bitter ini've heard lots of stories over the years of the wonderful job the jw's do in assisting those in need in disaster zones whether they be earthquakes or floods.
it would always be reported that the witnesses were the most organised in setting up camps etc and would out do the red cross and other such organisitions.
but also that they would quickly set up mini congregations to keep the disaster struck brothers spiritually fed.. has anyone here been involved in disaster relief work with the witnesses to clarify:.

Does the congo with the thickest envelope get all the circuit assembly talks?
by Alfred inok... i might be speculating here but i just have this sudden need to get this purged from my system once and for all.... it always seemed to me that the congo that handed over the thickest envelope to the co at the end of his visit got all the circuit assembly parts... this is just my personal observation from having been in 4 different districts for over 3 decades.. of course, i could be completely wrong about this but i rarely noticed elders from the poorer congos in the district giving talks at any assembly i've ever attended, while the elders from the more affluent congos in the district seemed to get all the talks, simposiums, dramas, everything.... in fact, about the only thing the "less fortunate" elders were used for at assemblies were for "interviews" (during an affluent elder's talk) where they would briefly explain how they gave up higher education, higher paying jobs, etc.
to serve jehovah full time because jehovah always provides, etc.
just to make the "materialistic" young couples in attendance feel guilty and sign up for aux pionsneering, reach out, etc.. meanwhile, several affluent and well-known business owners in the district got all the front-and-center 15-min discourses... i always thought: "why are they up there giving these talks, instead of the more humble brothers in the district who are all but running themselves into the ground in field circus 6 days a week while the affluent elders barely get in 10 hours a week visiting not-at-homes?.

Koolaid-man: Are you receiving compensation from the WTBTS?
by Alfred inrick: it's just a question... (if it's been asked before and you've already answered it, please disregard this post).
the reason i ask this question is the following... if i were a member of the gb and i wanted to discredit the "apostate" community or make them appear to be "mentally deseased", i would start by approaching a well-known "apostate" like yourself and offer him significant compensation in exchange for his/her role in making unsubstantiated claims against the wt, posting pictures of 3-person demonstrations (calling them successful) and making up colorful characters like johnny the bethelite.
i would also have him throw in the occasional false claim so that jws can easily say: "you see?

Two men in need of blood fractions...
by Alfred inhypothetical situation.... you're the doctor in charge of the icu when two ambulances arrive (at the same time), each one with a patient requiring the same amount of "x blood fraction" for the same reasons (including high risk of death)... one of the patients is a well-known blood donor and the other is a jw who is willing to accept the "x blood fraction".... however, you barely have enough "x blood fraction" for one of the patients (not both)... who do you give it to?.

Bethel Branch at Ajalvir, Spain
by Alfred inmost of you have probably read about this already, but just in case... i recently came across some interesting information regarding the spains' bethel branch in ajalvir.
on march 26, 2007, spains's department of labor and social matters (ministerio de trabajo y asuntos sociales) paid a very unwelcome visit to the branch and conducted a site inspection which uncovered overwhelming evidence that the watchtower society was knowingly violating varios legislative decrees regading workers' rights.
it was further discovered that the society was intentionally circumventing the law in order to avoid having to pay social security benefits as required by the "regimen general del sistema de seguridad social" (spain's ss administration).
