I'm Going To The Olympics!
by Simon ini can barely believe it.
it's really a dream come true.. the culmination of years of training and hard work.. i'm going to the olympics and i'm going to win multiple gold medals.. i finally figured that if a man can identify as a woman and win a medal, then i can identify as a disabled woman, so i reckon i can absolutely clean up at the special olympics.. it's so liberating being woke..

The gunman crashed his car near the school at about 11:30 local time
Wait. Something still doesn't add up - why did he crash his car? If I am driving to a school to shoot it up, I'm not running my car off the road. I'm pulling into the parking lot, getting ready, and then going in.
Did I miss something?

When someone proposes price controls to reign in inflation, the suggestion stems from a shallow understanding of the issue. If any price controls are implemented, the *net* effect is worse than before, causing much more suffering.
Gun control laws are very similar. It's a shallow response. It's like curing disease with leeches. It's an emotional response, a panic, but it won't actually work, and the net effect, after all of the unintended consequences are realized, is worse.

Again, you can't take a law and simply transplant it somewhere else and expect the equivalent outcomes.
Has Australia had a revolutionary war? An armed civil war? Are Australians constitutionally granted the right to bear arms? How many guns were owned before and after the controls?
Exactly. Also, not all gun deaths are the same. For example, concerning this stat, stated earlier:
"Of all the 5 to 14 year olds shot in the developed world, 90% of them were Americans"
And of that 90%, what percentage of those deaths are inner city gang violence, primarily with hand guns? Every day, literally each day that goes by, more people are killed in Chicago alone. The gun control measures there just disarm the law-abiding. -

How is the 'Cost of Living Crisis' affecting you?
by nicolaou inhere in the uk we've recently had the price cap on household energy bills raised by around £800 and there'll be another similar raise this autumn.. food prices are up, petrol is around £1.82 per litre - that's $10.37 per gallon for our american friends - and inflation is currently running at 9%.
business are being hit as ordinary folk prioritise their spending.
young folks are effectively priced out of the housing market and wage rises are not keeping pace.. mrs nic' and i are fortunate in that we're both in secure employment and with the kids moved out and mortgage paid off our outgoings are thankfully low.

We use a small fraction of the TP that we used before the pandemic. After the great TP panic hoarding of 2020, we installed bidets.
Took a little getting used to, but it's rather refreshing.

I'm not really a leftist. I try to be a Christian. Left and right are both wrong. You're just extra wrong.
Try harder. You said:
Simple fact: in your brain these kids were acceptance losses
I know this wasn't directed toward me, but I can see this was an attempt at pure manipulation. A jump right to shame in an attempt to undercut arguments.
It's a lot like calling someone raaaacist. I'm not buying that shit. -

To answer the OP more directly:
I have 4 kids. I've noticed my grocery bill double this year. Also, I've noticed less product within the package.
Buying bulk helps.

Jojo it wasn't all directed specifically at you. However it is obscene when someone slaughters 20 children and your first comment is that you support gun rights.
Be honest. You know why someone might go there. The bodies aren't even cold and the left will use it for a political agenda. By that, I mean laws will be proposed that are vague, unclear, and wouldn't have prevented the tragedy in the first place. Why do people need access to body armor and assault rifles?
See what I mean? Good lord. We could go over all the stats again. We could talk about thr definition of "assault rifle" - or the lack thereof, all before the body count stops climbing. And then we'll wait a few days and find out he had a hand gun (as reported earlier today). Why do countries with strict gun control have way less murders?
Spare me. I lived through the summer of love. Guns were the only thing that kept BLM out of my town.Simple fact: in your brain these kids were acceptance losses
Forking hell. Like I said. The guy will turn out to be mentally unstable, family problems, most likely fatherless, and on the spectrum somewhere - as a vast majority of these shooters. But noooo, we either buy into "common sense" left-wing solutions or else we "accept" kids getting gunned down.
