Can someone define "genetic" pain?
i also was intrigued by the russellites and the break away sects that formed before and after charles taze russell.
i can only imagine what the bible students were thinking when rutherford became the next watchtower president..
@min:
I think I arrived at the conclusion that it doesn't really matter.
I think it matters more to JWs seeking to prove to themselves or others that it's false. But absent that, the history of the WT is interesting in much the same way the salem witch trials is interesting - as a lesson in irrationality, and a lesson in how much it can ruin your life and the life of others.

At one point.

it seems like that it is not normal for any speaker to give the talk so close to the back wall.
i would like to know why he was standing very close to the back wall.
That and they have cameras, projecting it. My guess is that they want a clean background with minimal shadow.
Yeah... it seems like all the alphabet agencies are a similar bargain. Although some are more of a bargain than others...
He said that? Oy, his handlers are freaking out. He got away from them.
a new african statue has been unveiled in new york.. .

Titled "Oracle".
the news had mentioned how some stations were charging over $6 a gallon for gas.
they also brought up that the government had promised to come down hard on anyone that was price gouging.. my question is, is it possible to price gouge when there isn't an actual emergency?.
i think there are some benefits to raising prices even in an emergency.
@anony:
Agreed. "Price gouging" is just the market attempting to allocate resources due to a shortage, or perceived shortage, or increased demand. It should be allowed to happen, and when it's prevented, it causes adverse side effects. Politicians love to get on their soapbox and rail against horrible greedy people, but it's all emotional, and hurts people long term.
