By them carrying such hate speech...
Quick note: There is no such thing as hate speech.
what are you thoughts on this?.
i find this alarming because jones was very outspoken and had great guests on discussing topics most other media outlets wouldn't go near.. the fact that many have restricted him access to their medium what does this say on our freedoms of speech?.

@Brokeback:
I don’t think he’s gone. For some reason the left thinks he was instrumental in getting Trump elected. But I don’t think any privately owned platform should be forced to host content they don’t want to host. This seems like another example of leftists hounding advertisers... I mean Alex Jones has been saying this stuff for years. Why now? My guess is that these platforms think he’s a liability because some small leftist group got traction with advertisers. If it was anything more than that, it means Jones was right.
I bet his site is getting crap loads of traffic right now.
what the heck.. i couldn't believe it, norm brekkie and tom combs are still alive.. norm is so out of it he couldn't tell you what day of the week it was.. i talked to larry fisher he is gone mentally also.
he couldn't even remember when he went to bethel.. then i called up daryl christenson.
he wasn't so friendly.
He told me, I needed to go to the local elders.... He said he read my book cover to cover.
*sound of phone ringing*
“Hello.”
“Hi, local elder X? This is new boy. I am just calling because I had a discussion with Bethel. I called them and gave them a copy of my book. It was read cover to cover, and they said I should call you guys. I talked directly to Daryl Christenson. He’ll vouch for me.
I am just following up on that. I’ll zip on in this Sunday with some copies. I mean, it was read cover .... to .... cover.”
“Uhhhhhhh...”

...many credit with getting trump elected (not accurate, in my view).
I thought it was the Russians.

@_Morpheus:
It is getting stranger. It seems InfoWars has been banned from LinkedIn too. Not his personal profile, but the company page. Confirmed by LinkedIn:

Wtf?! It’s LinkedIn, he didn’t post any content there. This doesn’t seem to be about “hate speech.” How did he violate their TOU?

Hmmm, I am getting into this more (been away from the news for a few days). They are not naming specific instances or exames of violations, so it leads one to believe if they did name specific instances, it would probably necessitate the banning of many other sites.
And if they list “conspiracy theories,” that would take down hundreds of channels.
And if they list “fake news,” then that would take down CNN.

What seems odd is that he wasn’t banned for any of the conspiracy theories. It was “hate speech.” And they can’t seem to point to any specific instances as the cause, just a general “we don’t like what you are saying, so you are banned.”
A few thoughts:
1) Even though they are a private company, you didn’t see this type of logic applied by the left regarding cake shops refusing to bake cakes for gays.
2) YouTube and Facebook funnel billions of dollars of revenue through these sites, and people spend lots of time and money advertising and building an audience on these sites. They do this (spend the money and time) with specific terms of use in mind. This may end up being a significant civil lawsuit against these companies, especially for some nebulous “hate speech” subjective reason.
3) I am aware that no law has been passed, but I am very uneasy about congress members lobbying for more bans (for their political opponents, of course).
it's that time of year again when i can get back on the fields with the metal detector looking for ancient stuff.
the first field to be harvested was full of peas - ideal as it leaves no stubble and it's a two minute walk from my house.
it has given up two coins in two visits this week.. the first one is a cut-half silver penny from the reign of henry ii.
Very cool. Keep posting updates.

Go, Tax free, Organized, High-control groups! Go! Go! Go! You deserve to do whatever you want in a consequence free utopia!!
You must have misunderstood - I am advocating personal responsibility in this regard. That is, full consequences for your choice. I chose to join the JWs. My fault. Mine. That carries with it some consequences.
No high control group for me. I have freedom of association. And I wish to stay out of the governmental high-control group too.

@DD:
That’s right. I got it. You think JWs are a destructive cult. But for the JW standing in front of you saying, “I don’t think it’s a destructive cult. I Iike this way of life, and I agree with the blood policy, and disfellowshippjng, and the entire lot of it,” what do you say to him?
Put another way: I think the Democratic Party is a destructive organization that’s actively toying around with ideologies that have literally killed millions. Do I get to ban them?
If your speech is thoughtless and causes harm to another, there should be consequences.
Aside from direct threats, how in the world does speech, thoughtless or otherwise, “cause harm” to someone? Are you saying that speech is violence?
Their freedom does not trump the freedom of others.
Right, now you got it. Excellent. So I assume we are done here?
Taxes are theft. I agree.
There’s no reason to allow Churches to operate tax free anymore.
Uhhhh... “Forced sex is rape, I agree. But there’s no reason to let women deny sex anymore.”
