Anyone else have a sociopath story?
I forwarded to cedars..
first - some facts about sociopaths.
1 out of 100 people are sociopathic and they are rational people.
they are not deluded.. 2. they display a lack of conscience, an inability to feel remorse, and above average intelligence .

hey everyone, i'm writing a new book.. it's the entirely fictional story about a character called "roy devons", an obese clown who was kicked out of clown college because he couldn't stop touching himself.
he launches his own youtube channel where he tells the world how wrong and unfunny clowns really are.
the world already knows this, and never really had much todo with clowns anyway, although some other ex-clowns felt like they needed to be reminded regularly of their past lives.. he hits upon the idea of asking for donations to support efforts to convince ex-clowns to get their prostates checked.
I see what you did there.

Also, the process of leaving is a personal process of freedom. Whenever someone gets involved with taking down the Watchtower, either through activism or some sort of governmental means, it's just prolonging your prison sentence.
It's tough, but you have to get to a place where you recognize that :
1. If you went in as an adult, you made that choice. Sorry, you fucked up. Own it. Leave. And if your family rejects you, that's their choice, their responsibly. They are fucking up. Accept it, and make them own it.
2. If you grew up in it, you didn't make the choice as a child. But you eventually made the choice as an adult to leave. Good for you. See second part of #1 above.
Forums like this are personal. They allow you to talk and others to respond on a wide range of topics, not just JW stuff. The stuff coming from Lloyd and others (like 6 screens with their calls) is like a replacement for meetings. Uggg.

Regarding video above posted by silentlamb:
She is right. After a while, the old topics, the ones that "prove the WT is wrong" etc, although true, get boring. When you are finally out, the world opens up and you realize that you shouldn't be sitting around being mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially involved with the WT at all, and that includes letting them live in your head through your pain.
Yeah, they are all assholes. Now, let's go live.
the problem is where do we go from here?
lloyd is not going to go away , he has too much to loose(money) neither will his followers go as we have seen the last few days there was hardly a drop to his membership .so what's next?
we will be branded in the same colours and because of him we won't be taken seriously anymore.
Six screens of the Watchtower is still around, and we don't ask what we are supposed to do next.
Just keep going with your life. That's the most important thing.

Joey jojo:
It's not defamation, not legally. You may feel like he has a case against those statements, but he does not.
The truth is always a defense against defamation. That means, it doesn't matter how it "feels" or how scandalous it could be, he admitted, in a video, that he goes to see prostitutes on a regular basis in locations where it's illegal. Taking note of that is not defamation.
As a neutral observer, the amount of judgment on this thread is breathtaking.Where did the idea come from that when you leave JWs you stop judging people, as if applying morality is immoral?! What kind of postmodern think is this?

.... I've had a look at the defamation laws in the us and uk, aren't some of you a little concerned about making these accusations on a public forum?
No.
It's possible he went there for hot fudge packing action with definitely-older-than-20-year-old gay Jewish black Thai dudes.
Was that an accusation?
Also, he's a public figure. Factual statements must be made with "actual malice", a standard nearly impossible to meet.
i don't know if someone has already posted this, but lloyd has put up a video talking about his hooking up with hookers.
personally that does not bother me but the way he is handling it is such a god damn train wreck.
this guy is insane..
@RandR:
It's the Alec Baldwin syndrome.

When you leave the WT, it doesn't mean all moral standards are discarded.

I haven't really watched any of his stuff... have I been shunning him?
