Why is disagreement a problem? Seriously, we have one side that can’t seem to comprehend the difference between rights and entitlements, the economic effects of blurring those lines, and the immorality of the socialist redistributive mindset. The divide between each “side” is getting wider because for the most part we’ve reached the end. You can’t compromise anymore. We are at the point where “being able to agree on certain things” means giving up the fundamental definition of rights that has been the bedrock or the entire western world, the entire economic system that has brought people out of poverty in any meaningful way. So really, why is “agreement” any sort of standard by which we would judge political success?

What Are Your Rights?
by Simon inrights seem to be everywhere nowadays.
say hello to someone in the wrong way and you've violated 101 of their human rights.
people imagine they have the right to all sorts of things - food, healthcare, housing, internet ... so many things are labelled basic rights and then you get onto their human rights - a favourite of the do-nothing bodies such as the un to declare.

Honestly, I would love an impeachment. It would be an utter cluster fork of monumental proportions, and extremely entertaining. Those jokers are so keen on stealing our money, the least they can do is provide us with some entertainment.

Who is your favorite Star Wars character?
by LoveUniHateExams inthe star wars franchise has lots of memorable characters, no doubt about it.
the sw extended universe is a big space.. there are lots of characters in the extended universe that i know little or nothing about - i may have only heard their names.. so if you could pick just one character, which one is your favourite?.

Aww, c'mon MMM stop trolling. I didn't intend this thread to become a 'let's bash disney star wars' thread.
If you had to pick one character from the Star Wars franchise as your favourite, who would it be?OK. I can't promise to stop the criticism/sarcasm. They forked it up waaaay too much. But if you want a serious comment, here it is: Tag and Bink. I am not sure if I trust Disney with such a venture. But a Tag and Bink movie would be awesome.
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I like Leia too. I wasn't criticizing the entirety of SW. For the most part, I agree with everyone that has suggested a character.

Another great character is Vice Admiral Holdo. Throughout TLJ she steps up and shows true leadership by walking around with an angry look on her face, and withholding any and all plans from everyone else. Also exhibiting true leadership skills, she bravely and valiantly runs away in a single direction, as a group, without splitting up or flying into an asteroid belt. She knows that an asteroid belt might mean the First Order's large ships would have to hang back as they scatter fighters. This would, of course, mean that they might be able to fight, but that would involve Poe.. which is, of course, completely unacceptable. It would, by contrast, be a cowardly move, and she knows it. Bravo! But she, and she alone, realizes that you can, in fact, use a ship to light-speed ram other ships - a small detail that had escaped the attention of literally thousands of years of previous space warriors. Her genius is unlimited!!!

I like Rose Tico. Just a normal woman, with no character arc, inadvertently consuming 1/3 of the film’s time, stifling all of Finn’s plans, and finally reminding us that if you kill all of your enemies, they win.

@DOC: Oh yeah. He is uber done for now. Just a few more weeks. Mueller will soon hang him out to dry. He’ll be removed, and Capernick can get his job back. Everything will be right with the world again.

@Spoletta:
Nope, not what I said. I defined terms, gave examples, and cited sources. I did these things becuase you asked, and it was with the goal of explaining (hence attempting to help you understand).
I’m sorry, but here you’ve still got it exactly backwards: 1) Clear thinkers practice defining terms and making distinctions. Clear thinkers try to see beyond the first level of cause and effect. The don’t one binge smear campaigns. Clear thinkers tend to engage with ideas. 2) The majority of people aren’t clear thinkers. Public schools have done a bang up job of assuring that.
The horrible thinkers tend to be the ones that make arguments like Nevuela, which is basically: If you don’t like being called a Nazi, then just agree with my shallow socialism and it’ll stop.

The giant sea porpoise with the huge ball sack tits that produce blue milk. Without this character, Luke dies of starvation on the island, and the entire story line falls apart. He wouldn’t be there to watch Rey naturally become a Jedi in a week, without any training. Such an important character.
