Thank you Patio! We just moved, and have been looking for an organic egg supplier. Come to find out from this site, there's one just up the road:) My fourteen year old son and I listened to a PBS program that featured the Fast Food Nation author. He was so fascinated by it, he had me check the book out of the library for him. Surprisingly, he cut his consumption of fast food way back. Being a teen, I figured he'd just deem the information as overblown hype.

Splenda, the low cal sugar substitute

Hi Sirius, Why not try buying the Splenda sweetener and using it in something that you know you aren't sensitive to to find out for sure? Malitol can be very problematic in many individuals, and is contained in a lot of "sugar free" products. I can eat Splenda with no problem, but malitol does me in. As far as the warnings go-everything in moderation, I say. According to scientists, foods as innocuous as peanut butter causes problems in laboratory animals.

Watchtower Right?
by patio34 init struck me this morning that the recent news that, in general, church-goers vote republican and non-church goers (regularly that is) vote democratic.. if the majority of republicans support president bush and the invasion of iraq and the majority of democrats do not, then it would follow that the majority of church-goers are in favor of the invasion.
and the non-churchers aren't.. what struck me is odd is the watchtower teaching that christians, in general, are inclined to be warlike (a polite term).
then it struck me about the morality of the whole invasion.
