I did the matchbox thing when I was sixteen and wanted a Charger:)
Unfortunately, I don't think they have a model Bugatti Chiron.

Hi Terri, We used to have an anole my kids caught in Florida. He got pretty friendly, but it took about a year. He would eat mealworms out of our hands! I really love the green ones! Godzilla was just a standard. The long tailed ones are really awesome, though. I might get one long tailed and one green. They are in the same aquarium at Pet Smart. I was planning on doing a terrarium-hmmm, maybe he wouldn't notice them in amongst all the greenery:) We are trying to butter the landlord up right now by paying our rent ahead. His daughter told us we are the only tenants who have EVER done that, so maybe... I plan to buy an under the tank heater, in addition to the heat rock we already have. Our other guy got kind of cold:( We're pretty sure he died of old age, though. We had him about three years, and he was full grown when we got him. Right now, I'm just trying to be content with my anole candle stick holders, and resisting the temptation to name them, lol.

I am owned by a dalmatian who is the most frustrating and lovable creature I've ever met, and I've been visiting some long tailed anoles at Pet Smart lately, wondering how I can talk the landlord into letting me have a couple. Our lease states "One dalmatian", which is better than the original "absolutely no pets" he did have on it, but I don't see where a couple of anoles would hurt;)

Ike's mother/Did WT had calvinistic connections?
by badboy in.
i understand ike's(eisenhower) mother was a jw,they used 2 take her door-door as a aid 2 recruitment etc etc.. i note that the wt once said that vaccination was wrong, against gods covenant, interestingly calvinistic xtremists in the netherlands believed exactly the same thing.. any reason 4 the same stance, i believe that some of the top people may have came from calvinism, any other reason.

Hi Badboy, According to the Calvinist, there are five tenants of the Christian faith: 1. Total Inability-Sin had extended to every part of man's personality-his thinking, emotions, and will. The ungenerate man is dead in his sins. (Witness theology supports this idea). 2. Unconditional Election-God has elected, based solely on the counsel of his own action, some for glory and others for damnation before the founding of the world (this is commonly known as predestination, and is not supported in Witness theology). 3. Limited atonement-Christ died for those whom God gave him to save. Christ died for the specific sins of specific sinners (ie-the predestined), and to make the holy church. (Witnesses do say that Christ died for 'men of good will' and not the entire world, but do not claim there is any chosen number). 4. Irresistable Grace- Men come to Christian salvation when the Father calls them via the holy spirit and evangelizing. (This could be supported by witness theology, except according to Calvin, these men were foreordained by God to recieve this invitation). 5. Perseverence of the Saints-The saints will remain in God's hold until thaty are glorified and brought to abide with him in heaven (in other words, once saved, always saved. Witnesses say that even the 144,000 can lose their standind with God). Add to that the fact that Witnesses are actually latter day arianists (they believe that Christ is not of the same substance of the Father, not coequal or co-eternal), of which Calvin vehementally was against, I would say no, their theology is not Calvinistically based.

Awake! - Gripped By Decline ...and Hysteria?
by metatron inrecently, the total printing of the awake magazine has declined slightly - from.
22, 755,000 to 22,530,000 while this may be temporary, it does coincide with a change.
in style for this magazine.. .

And if the rank and file figured this out, they would heave a collective sigh of relief that they have 225,000 fewer mags they have to place:)

"If anyone calls himself a BROTHER ,"...................
by gumby in5:9-11, says that anyone who .....calls himself a brother and is a fornicator, idolater, drunkard and such, is not to be greeted or have a meal shared with them.
the witnesses of course, apply this to anyone who calls themselves a witness, and is any of those things, yet still calls themselves a witness.. the problem i always had understanding is......if a person does not call himself a "brother" ( a witness) any longer, then how do they justify applying it to those who choose not to be recognised as such any longer?
in the niv footnote section which gives a short commentary on scriptures.....it plainly says this applies to any who call themselves christians, and do these things.

I just looked up 'Apostacy' in the "Reasoning Book", and it said......'or those who claim to believe in the bible, but reject Jehovahs Organisation". LOL, another example of how the WTS does total turn-arounds on issues. My favorite quote from the 1865 Watchtower, pg. 216: "Beware of "organisation." It is wholly un-necessay. The Bible will be the only rules you need. Do not seek to bind others consciences and do not permit others to bind yours. Believe and obey so far as you can understand God's Word today, andy so continue to grow in grace and knowledge day by day." It's funny how the Witnesses teach that Christendom changed Christianity's foundations to further their own cause, when they did it themselves, via "new light." I prefer sun light over the glow of the most technologically advanced light bulb. I prefer growing in grace and knowledge day by day over blindly following a group of men in Brooklyn.
