caroline77 ... I made the same mistake your father did the first time I tried it. I put two tablespoons into a cup, put it up to my mouth and took a breath just before I was about to drink it ... my esophagus closed right up, couldn't breathe at all ... as others have said DILUTE it! Learned from experience

Apple Cider Vinegar
by poppers ini've been drinking 1 tbs with a glass of water twice daily for digestion for about 3 weeks now.
i've found it helps, but it also acts as an appetite suppressant; i've lost several pounds since using it.
i'm consuming fewer calories because i'm just not as hungry as before.

2014 AGM announcement rumour
by yadda yadda 2 infrom barbara anderson, former watchtower headquarters researcher and writer, on another recent thread:.
it is expected that at the 2014 annual meeting, usually held the first saturday in october, will serve watchtower leaders well to cover-up all the 100-years of prophetic nonsense.
rumor has it they are going to celebrate their 100-years of announcing the kingdom in an adroit way by featuring a move of "great" significance to do with the expansion of the governing body to an "apostolic" 12 or some other fantasy idea.. .

I missed the other thread about the announcemnet shocking the old timers.
I think the GB/Lawyers that run the Corporation know that shocking the old-timers is the way to go. These older ones have too much emotionally invested in the relgion to lose that the majority will most likely just feel depressed but continue (some will leave, others may just find ways to reduce their support), but where will they go? This religion is their identity, their entire social structure ... the younger ones on the other hand, they are eating up these changes and they are the future of the religion, the powers to be know it and they are adapting to survive. It's a con, it has become obvious.

Waking up your spouse
by All for show ini am aware this has to be done quite carefully, but how?
while many may complain and see the hypocrisy within the kh's, maybe even with the gb, how does one bring up doctrine issues?
i surely can not tell my husband to "go look what jwfacts.com says".

Will JW.ORG actually harm the WT Society Long Term ?
by flipper inmy son and i were discussing this yesterday over coffee.
since the wt society in previous years virtually demonized going on the internet at all for jw's - now wt leaders are doing a complete turn around or about face probably so as to " compete " or keep up with all the anti-jw websites that are out there to give the wt society point of view.. however- it very well may backfire on them as once people start doing google searches looking for jw.org it will bring up all the other websites dealing with any jw issues and in the privacy of their own homes out of curiosity i'm sure lots of jw's are going to want to check out some of these sites to see what all the " apostate " hoopla is all about.
i wonder how many jw's will do this and will it have an effect in opening more minds to other views ?

In the short term not good, long term I think they will recover. Look how many left after '75 then the growth during the 80's, I joined the "high control group" in 1986, I was 20, 1975 meant nothing to me and at that age seemed so long ago LOL!
It will just make the cult more normal to those who desire to fit in and be a part of a bigger picture. I think they will eventually have to lighten up on higher education though.

WT for this Sunday...You are My Witnesses
by Legacy inwt 7/15/2014....page 27...question # 17...what will we consider in the next article...paragraph 17...but how can we be jehovah witnesses and at the same time be witnesses of jesus....well well well...i think they really got the point...all through the greek scriptures, that's what jesus has been saying...we are to witness about him....in the hebrews scriptures was about jehovah god, most of the world got that.
now jehovah, put another spoke in the wheel his son...jesus...that's who paul has been talking about all along...that he was witness of jesus, paul knew who god was.
i think the society monitors sites like these & others & found out....they may have been, uh...wrong....wonder how are they going to spin this one off....i won't read the next article just yet... comments anyone ..... legacy.

Certainly a true anointed JW wouldn't sue Mother so he apparently was worshipping in vain and was just a JW pretender. If Mother wanted his app removed from Apple, then if he was truly a child of hers, he would have happily complied instead of suing her.

Oh my God, I knew it!!!
by Crazyguy ini am a big fan of the group 30 seconds to mars, and whats amazing is many of their songs seem to have a anti cult theme like "huricane" "up in the air" and others.
so after i watched a video of the song huricane, so i could see the lyrics i googled to see if they, the lead singer jared leto and his brother shannon, were former jw's and yes they were.
crazy small world!!!!.

Again ... I think you may be referring to Jason Bartlett ... here is part of an interview with Slate (the Slate article was the original that was quoted on the website I listed in my previouse post) ... note the dates
Slate: I didn’t know there was a long-hair community before finding the Men’s Long Hair Hyperboard.
Jason Bartlett: Yes, it’s a real community. I mean, if I’m out at a concert and I see another longhair, we give each other a little head nod. The site itself started in 1996, and now we link to a lot of long-hair groups geared toward both men and women.
I came to MLHH in 1999. I had short hair then, because I was part of a religion [Jehovah’s Witnesses] that enforced that. But my connection [to the Witnesses] was fading. When I got on the Internet, one of the first things I did was type in “men’s long hair.” Of course, in order to be a MLHH moderator, you have to already have long hair. I didn’t progress in the hierarchy until I left my religion for good, in 2005.
Slate: Are the hair restrictions part of the reason you left?
Bartlett: It was complicated.
Slate: What made you want to become a longhair?
Bartlett: What we have found is that longhairs fall into two different groups. One group is innate—men who’ve known they wanted to grow their hair long since they were 6 or 7. It’s in them and a part of them. For me, it’s one of my earliest recollections. For other men, it’s more like a fashion statement that comes and goes—for instance if they want to join a rock band.
My problem was that I had parents who weren’t supportive of the idea, and I couldn’t have picked a worse culture to be born into. The Witnesses don’t allow beards, goatees, or long hair on men. But I felt like it was a part of me, that this was how I should look. I started to push the limits, growing it long on top and seeing what I could get away with. If I hadn’t been raised a Witness, I would certainly have worn my hair long as a young boy.
In the article, Jared Leto is mentioned for his long hair, first by the writer of the particular blog article, then the quotes of Slate asking Bartlett a question and Bartlett in his response.
I don't know Jared Leto, but the only evidence I find is this one article that mentions both Leto and Jehovah's WItnesses and the one identified as a witness that left in 2005 is Bartlett.
Slate: What do you think of Jared Leto?
Bartlett: I’m very happy about Jared Leto. We are all for long hair on men becoming more popular. It makes it easier for us, especially when we’re looking for work, trying to be accepted. I think that when more men see very public figures growing their hair out, the idea gets planted in their heads.
