Debator---- Apparently you do have a problem with telling us whether or not you have discussed your involvement on this site with your congregation elders. If you have doubts, you owe it to yourself, and God to investigate those doubts.

Beware of the Strawman argument!
by Farkel inyears ago before i took the time and effort to study logic and argumentation, i went to a market and bought some toothpaste.
it was a little-known brand and it touted "baking soda" as its magic ingredient.
it was also cheaper than the name-brand toothpastes and that helped me in my decision.

Like we'll ever settle this once and for all, but here goes; ARE YOU A TRUE CHRISTIAN?
by nicolaou inthe watchtower says; "there is an enormous distinction between true christianity and the religion practiced by those who are christians in name only" - wt 1st october 2009. now, in the light of all the current controversy over the word 'atheist' and what it means can you see how irritating it is to have your frame of reference, be it a religious belief system or something else, redefined by others?
and usually it is redefined by those who have something to gain by the linguistic manipulation.. for the watchtower the gain is easy to see but what about the attempt by many believers to define atheism as a belief system?
could it be that equating rational atheism with belief is nothing more than an attempt to legitimize faith?.

I really don't know what it means to be a true christian. I just know that if someone needs help, I will do whatever I can. I love people, and I put their needs ahead of my own frequently. I hope that means that I am a good person. I don't know about a christian

No Link Found Between Vaccine Mercury and Autism
by leavingwt insome red meat for the anti-science crowd.
no link found between vaccine mercury and autisma new government study adds to the evidence that thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative until recently found in many vaccines, does not increase children's risk of autism.. it shows kids who had been exposed as babies to high levels of the preservative -- through vaccines they received or their mothers received while pregnant -- were no more likely to develop autism, including two distinct subtypes of the condition.. .
"this study should reassure parents about following the recommended immunization schedule," said dr. frank destefano, director of the immunization safety office at the centers for disease control and prevention (cdc) in atlanta, and the study's senior author.. .

My step mother in-law has a son who is autistic, (very extreme case). I think that she may believe that it is due to the MMR vaccination, but she is not certain, I will have to tell her about this study.

Hey all! I am in my sophomore year of college, and I am in a class entitiled "Crisis Intervention". One of the assignments was to write a 4 page paper on a crisis that we have faced, and how we have dealt with it.
I wrote about leaving the Org, and how I cope with my online support group! The paper is completely confidential, and the instructor will give it back to me after reading it and I can shred it if I want to , but I don't think I will. I will keep it for my own reference! I ended up writing WAY more than the requirement, but as the paper will be handed in well before the assignment is due, I think it will be okay.
I feel so happy and free today, and I wanted to share it with you all! Hooray for sweet FREEDOM!!!!!
