the bible says that the personal name of god is jehovah/yahweh/jah etc.thing is,we don't know it's correct pronounciation (or the pronounciation of any hebrew name).the name jehovah as we know it today means "he causes to become".someone who causes something to become is just called "creator" or "maker".right?he gave that name to his self so that people or the angels could call him by a name.also,how was he called before the creation of the anything?how can some people claim to be his friends if they don't know his actual name?discuss.

Why does god kill children?

i was thinking about all the accounts in the bible that indicate god kills children as a punishment or teaching experience.

1. kills all of egypts firstborn sons, who were innocent kids who did nothing to him or his people, who had no control over the decisions pharoah made.

how many times have you read that account or thought about it without realizing the devastating pain dealt to all those parents, and remembered those were innocent kids?.

God kills anyone he wants because HE CREATED EVERYTHING AND HE'LL DO WHAT THE HELL HE WANNA DO and you can't do anything about it.If you don't like this God then BACK OFF.

Genesis 8:21."And Jehovah smelled the sweet savor; and Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake, for that the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.

Genesis 19:4" Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

So,God doesn't care about how old someone is but IN WHAT CONDITION HIS HEART IS BECAUSE HE CAN READ IT. If you want to worship a forever-tolerant God then go find someone else.Peace

Personally I don't wanna die.However,there are people who hate life and living in this world and they are not around us to testify it because they are no longer alive.An example of this is Per Yngve Ohlin of the Norwegian Black Metal band Mayhem.At 21 years old he blew his brains out with a shotgun.Here's the proof:

have you ever marvelled, as i have, at the marketing genius that sells us less food for more money?

the marketer who came up with the "100 calorie" packaging ploy deserves a consumer's medal.

i am recording my own 100 calorie snack wonders, that are balanced for a diabetic (carb, protein, and roughage).

OK GUYS LISTEN UP:If food fits your macros you are good.Caloric surplus means you gain weight,caloric deficit means you lose weight.Simple as that.

Who has experienced a REAL demonic incident?

has anybody here experienced a bonafide, real, true incident in whicy 'demons' actually interacted with you or did something 'supernatural' that left you convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that satan and his demons exist??.

First of all I want to say that I do believe in demons and I am sure they appear to certain people.They say that "a coincidence that happens again and again is not a coincidence".What boggles my mind is that many people I know and heard of say that they all have seen the same thing:"A faceless dark/shadow figure appearing in front of them.What's even weirder is that the majority of those people are normal,sane and quite inteligent I would say.Most of them have also seen a shrink and they don't have a mental disorder whatsoever.Sure some things are the result of the human imagination but can we question what they said or make fun of ALL of these people?After years of reading about demons,supernatural things and the spirit world I came down to the conclusion that you have to be somewhat INTO a form of spiritualism or communication with the demons in order to see something weird. I mean c'mon guys the average every day person who works 8-10 hours,sleeps for 6-9 hours,watches TV or is having fun in his free time (going out,drinkin' beer etc) 24/7 most likely won't encounter what we descibe here as supernatural or anything related.Another example is a lot of musicians:I've been into the underground metal music since I can remember myself,I have always been reading in interviews and have also talked to band members and MANY have admitted that they have some connection with the demons or spirits.In addition, I am talking here about guys that are not mainstream nor seek glory or money through their music,they just promote Satanism and Paganism as a way of life.For those who don't believe in demons I am sure they don't because they have never tried to see or speak with them.I don't try to convince anyone to believe in demons.What I've mentioned above are my personal conclusions and experiences.For those who believe:The power of Satan and his demons is great and their intentions are the worst.Peace

the announcement was something like "[name] got checked".well if he ain't got df'ed then what does this mean?is it based on the bible?where does this policy come from?how is the rest of the congregation supposed to behave to that person in a situation like this?what happened in the background anyway?is he checked for a period of time or what?any restrictions?.

An elder did announce it in the beggining of the second hour of the meeting: [Name] has been MARKED.Dammit.It's really difficult to learn the theocratic terminology in English but hey at least I try.
