  how many partakers were in your kingdom hall??.

  even if your kingdom hall had no partakers, please say so.. at the end of this thread i'll tally up the result to give a rough idea of partakers world wide!.

  i'll start this thread off by saying that i attended 4 kingdom halls and there was a total of 3 partakers.

  i like this site (aside from the fact that we have the jw experience in common) because i have come to realize that all of you are very creative, interesting & courageous.

  it takes a special person to exit the jw's.

  we all of course are also very different & thats good because we can learn from each other.

  BANE, I agree that Jesus would agree with your reasoning. But as Jehovah's Witnesses who obey and follow the lead of the faithful slave we are repeatedly reminded not to even say a greeting to an Apostate, never mind a conversation or debate. They also remind us not to go on apostate web sites. If we disobey the Governing Body, can we say we are truly following their lead, and thus Christ's lead?

  i like this site (aside from the fact that we have the jw experience in common) because i have come to realize that all of you are very creative, interesting & courageous.

  it takes a special person to exit the jw's.

  we all of course are also very different & thats good because we can learn from each other.

  It´s interesting that you WANT to be destroyed. How one can love death so. So frightening. You may get your wish very soon. The news is getting much worse. This oil spill will kill millions. If you want to stay on here and keep on mocking it´s your business. I am just the watchman. I have no idea how the truth attracted such horrible people like you guys to begin with.

  You missed my point. It is quite logical, based on our Watchtower studies, to draw the conclusion that all those who actively associate with apostates will be destroyed. That includes both you and me as long as we are posting on this board.

  co-worker (who doesn't know a lot about jws) wanted to know good questions to ask jws when they come to the door.. i told him to ask about the meaning of "the generation" or how to calculate 1914.. after explaining to him him the history of the generation changes and the current overlapping generation meaning today, he said "that's genius because they can just keep overlapping it when armageddon doesn't come.

  one generation passes the baton to the next".

  i was just talking to my wife this morning about underlining or highlighting the wt paragraphs.. when i was 13 years old i would fight with my dad because i refused to highlight the answers.. the reason was because i wanted my comment to be genuine.

  i felt that highlighting the "answer" made me lean on just using that as a crutch and not truly putting it in my own words.. i still hold that argument now, and i am 26. the only reason you would ever have to highlight something in a study book would be if you needed to remember it, maybe it is fairly complicated or subtle information that could be easily forgotten.. so many times in the wt the "question" has the same phrase that's in the paragraph!

  it's literally like playing connect the dots.. so what i would do is not highlight during the family study.

  When I was a kid I went with a witness on a Bible study. We had 2 different editions of the "Live Forever " book. One edition said that those destroyed in Sodom would be resurrected and the other one that said they wouldn't. I was reading and the conductor and I politely disputed whether or not I was reading the paragraph correctly. I think we taught a lot to the householder that day.

  Unfortunately I shelved this experience. I wasn't much of an "independent thinker" at that time.

  So how do ones get destroyed by Jehovah Nancy Drew?

  Probably antimatter, radiation, fire from the sky, falling into an earth-quake created crevice, etc (not flood though, the rainbow promises there will be no more mass-execution from a flood).
