Is it unacceptable to stand up for Jehovah's Witnesses on a site called Jehovah's-Witness.net?
by THE GLADIATOR ini fail to see why people such as alice in wonderland, bane and others, are regularly singled out as tolls.
demands are repeatedly made that they are shunned and thrown off the forum; while people like perry, who rant on with pages of controversial drivel, are considered acceptable?.
i personaly don't view any of them as trolls, just people who feel a need to stand up for what they believe.

Okay, I'll be explicit, seeing you brought up the subject of your teenaged daughter.
Say your teenaged daughter has a boyfriend who wants to marry her. He has a job and all his teeth, so you think he's okay.
An extra advantage is that he doesn't wish to make love to her before the wedding. You don't see that as a problem.... in fact you think WOW, he doesn't want to have sex with my daughter, woooo hoo!
You attend the wedding.
Two months later your daughter calls you with some news. Which of the following would make you happiest?
A. Your daughter's new husband is not able to achieve an erection and the marriage hasn't been consumated.

Is a Muslim decides to embrace his or her homosexuality, what are the consequences?The consequences are based on the culture and country and family and environment in which the person exists, and range from no consequences at all to death by family members. On the side of "no premarital sex," any one who has ever had really good, mind-blowing sex knows that it impairs your judgment. So there you are, brain-addled from multiple orgasms, and you decide to spend the rest of your life with this guy/gal. Premarital sex impedes your ability to make clear headed decisions and, during this period where you're having the best sex of your life, you decide to spend the rest of your life with this person? You're not in a mental position to be able to sign legal documents or enter into contracts, I mean, come on! Then you get married and discover there is more to marriage than just sex and, OMG, this person doesn't even speak English! You never noticed because moaning sounds the same in any language.

Older man marries younger woman, yes; younger man marries older woman?
by dgp ini understand that marriages between an older man and a much younger woman are a fact of jw life.
the reasons i have seen include the lack of an available prospect, of the fact that the older man has some power in the congregation and therefore marrying him is something like an advantage.
i wonder what the advantage can be, and i would appreciate any light on this (new or old).. but, how often does a younger man marry an older woman?

Okay, let's look at this from a strictly JW sociological perspective, taking "looks younger", "looks older", etc out of the picture.
Older man marries younger woman. Financial security, life & romantic experience of the older man, and social-group status are amongst the driving forces. This is similar to "in the world".
Younger man marries older woman. This is where it gets interesting, and is a bit different from "the world".
Young JW guys don't have much experience sexually or romantically, and are discouraged and/or forbidden from gaining this experience. Added to that, the organization discourages them from being educated or high earners.
Older JW women are sexually experienced if they've either been married before or been "worldly" prior to becoming JW's. They probably own a home and have a decent income.
In addition, the young guy only has similarly inexperienced uneducated low-earning JW females to choose from. The older woman is extremely attractive from this vantage point.
