i was just thinking that if charles taze russell were alive today he wouldn't even recognize the religion he started.

in fact, many of the things he did are now disfellowshippable offenses.

for instance, he had a christmas tree in the bethel home and he wore a beard.

I wonder about something though.

1) If Russel wasent a Freemason or did not associate with them, why did he supposedly use their symbols on the cover of the Watchtower?

2) Why was a pyramid erected over his gravesite? The pyramid bore a Fremason symbol as far as I am told.

Thake these statements with a grain of salt because the credibility of my source is in question.

I would like to hear more about them though.

Now I read in a book recently that his wife said something about the adopted daughter and Russel in the trial. Thus my claim that people revealed that his wife accused him of pediopheila. Again I stand corrected.

People have somany opinions about Russel that it is hard to determine what is fact. I have to rethink my entire view of Russel after readind about him in a book I just got. To distinguish opionion from fact is sometimes difficult.

I would like the FULL transcripts as I only have been able thus far to obtain partial transcripts. I will check out kents site as well.

I have to do more research on Russel to get a more accurete picture of him.

could i challenge you to a debate regarding your teachings?.

i have a stragety in mind.. the rules would be simple, who ever cannot anwser five questions to the satisfaction of the judges would loose the debate.. not anwsering a question at all counts as a loss.. you could get to pick three or four judges on this board who you think would be reasonable to judge our responces.. and i would get to do the same.

i.e i get to pick four posters who i think wll be reasonable.. that means there will be a total of 6 or 8 judges.. outside help is allowed.. does that sound fair?.

I have some "New light" for RR.

Russel never claimed to be the FDS

well...I'm not to sure about that.

You will never find it in his writings

I dont know if he expressed this belief in his writings but others close to him sure did.

Let me shine some light on the situation.

Did Russel claim to be the FDS?

"Thousands of the readers of Pastor Russell's writings believe that he filled the office of 'that faithfull and wise servant', and that his great work was giving to the Household of Faith meat in due season. his modesty and humility precluded him from proclaiming this title, but he admitted this much in private conversation."
(WT 12/1/16 p 357)

There you have it.

He admitted as much in private.

If this is true he thought he fulfilled a Bible prophecy.

RR may still be right though because this was 2 years after his death. So sombody could have been captiolizing on his status.
There are other quotations which suggest that he thought that he was the FDS but I think that is enough.

I'm sure that you will take my word for it.

I highlited the word humility because I think (it is only my opinion)
that he was not a very humble man. This was in my opinion just a ploy to paint a positive picture of C.T.R by the person who wdited that issue of the Watchtower.

I have come to this view through viewing trial transcripts from his divorce.

I think his wife accused him of pediopheila.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

But I wonder about something.

The devil disobayed a direct command from God Almighty.

He did not do what God wanted him to do. So he did not walk in the ways of the truth any longer.

If I were to disobey an elders command who would I be disobeying.

I think you know what kind of trouble you will get into if you do manage to get caught.

Most people here will be direct and straight foward with you about what they think.

They will usually add some sarcastic comment or an insult about the Watchtower when they present info to you. It is because they think the WT caused them pain. They have a point though. As you will find out if you stick around.

Many things that the Watchtower says about apostates are true but not all of them. Many things about them will surprise you.

Rember many people here were just like you so if you listen mabe you will find out why they changed.

It is really hard to express compassion to someone who they know that is supposed to hate you. And you are such a person. That is why people may seem harsh towards you.

It is all for a good reason so please find out why.

People here sound angry because they were lied to for most of their lives by what you are now partially defending by stating that it dosent sem fair to only critisize the jws.

If you were to stay on this board for a while you would find out what exactly allows them to be so angry.

You said that this site attacks the jw religion.

Again if you stayed here for a while you would see why it may seem that way.

When you leave the jw religion you lose your friends and your family, they treat you as if you were dead. They wont even come to you funeral!

People need to be able to vent their anger when they leave the religion and to associate with people who they can relate with. This board is the perfect place for that.

If you find out exactly what happened to them then you would probally take their side.

You probally dont know much about the jws history and their unscriptural teachings so you cant relate to their calling it a false religion as yet.

People dont say those kind of things without good reason. Just find out what the reason is first before you come to a conclusion.

If people here on this board say something that isnt true someone will surely pick up on it, and correct them. There are too many posters on this board who wouldent let misinformation go unnoticed.

Please donot be so quick to jump to a conclusion about these posters.

Just wait and you will see why.

There is a good reason for their attitude towards the Watchtower.

The organisation may seem good on the outside but if you check it out you may find out many things which surprise you.

People here are voicing factual info about the watchtower even though they may express their distastefull opinions of it at the same time.

Just stick around and find out more, then you may sympthize with the way they express their views.

Its really that simple.
