could i challenge you to a debate regarding your teachings?.

i have a stragety in mind.. the rules would be simple, who ever cannot anwser five questions to the satisfaction of the judges would loose the debate.. not anwsering a question at all counts as a loss.. you could get to pick three or four judges on this board who you think would be reasonable to judge our responces.. and i would get to do the same.

i.e i get to pick four posters who i think wll be reasonable.. that means there will be a total of 6 or 8 judges.. outside help is allowed.. does that sound fair?.

While I am a member of a supposed false religion.

I have only been studing the Bible and the Jw history for 3 months, while you have been studing for x years, I should be an easy push over.

The reasons I am doing this are honestly as followes:

1) I want to prove to any jw that I meet that their religion is false!
Jws have a tendancy to avoid direct questions so i would like to get one of you to have to anwser direct questions that I present.

2) I want to know how good i have gotten at rebuking teachings which I have considered to be false.

3) I really want to know what your true opinions are on these important matters.

p.s. Spritual warfare is not allowed, i.e. you HAVE TO TELL THE TRUTH!

there was a picture of a nun on the front page and it said: is there a sound basis for your beliefs?

Questions for witnesses

here's a list of questions i compiled a while ago, for any new ones or lurkers to answer if they can.. i'm sure theres plenty more that could be added.. questions?.

1. gentile times.. a. why do we believe in such a thing as the gentile times?

this arises as it is not specifically mentioned in the bible as described by jehovahs witnesses.. b. why do we calculate that they start with the destruction of jerusalem in 607 b.c.e.?

I'm new to the board but I have been following you for a while and I have began to notice your pattern.

People once thought that I was you trying to play a joke on them, with that spritual warfare nonsense.

I just wanna know one thing before I ask you anything else.

If you knew all of theses things about the watchtower before you were baptized would you still have gone through with it?

When I say all these things I mean really thought through things and came to a sensible conclusion. Because I notice that many witness dismiss things without even thinking about them. Are you like that?

Controll of information (We donot entertain apostate literature)

If not for this website what would have been the chances of your finding out about the UN scandal from your congregation elders? Would you have known that the WT predicted the end of the world 6 times?

The cost of innocent lives? How many people doyou think died refusing a blood trans fusion or an organ transplant?

I would go on but if I did you wouldent have anwsered me for sure so i'll leave it there.

Access to the KH Libary.

when you were a jw could you read any book that was in the kh libary any time you wanted?.

are the book like.

"millions now living will never die".

still to be found there at the kh and are they still in tact?

Did the Watchtower change any of these such books when they reprinted them removing certain incrimnating quotations?

How far back did the watchtowers and other publications that you had at your Kingdom Hall go back to?

Did they go all the way to the early 1900's? Like 1902?

Even if thees books were available did you ever find anything in them that you thought was strange?

How often did you use them? If ever at all?

Was the use of these books discouraged?

Can you borrow any of the books, or even sneek one out without notice?

The heavenly calling?

i am getting really confused about this belief that the jws promote.. i used to think that it (the heavenly calling ended in 1935) but this really confuses me now because, i think that there are members of the gb (and other annointed) who were born after that year.(1935).

if heaven closed its doors in 1935,. how could you be of the annointed and you were born after that year?

also now i think that women are of the annointed, am i right?

Characteristics of a DF'ed.

i would like to know what you would expect from a dfed person with these characteristics.

(things which the indivisual is capable of.).

1) swearing alot (any and everyone who doesent have something that they need or that isnt in a higher position than they are like their boss);.

Sorry for being so incoherent during that post. When I read it even I got lost and i'm the person who wrote it.
I would format it and add more body to the text to make it more understandable but I cant edit it.

What I really wanted to know is if anyone has tried to talk to an ex Jehovahs Witness who still believes in the truth and posses charecter traits like mentioned above about a Watchtower related issue. (The issue obviously was not reflecting positively on the Watchtower)

Even thought you did not completly understand where I was comming from you still managed to give sensible advise.
