This was her last year on a flying visit to Eyemouth in Scotland where I work, she's the one wearing the blue lampshade. Bless you Maam, I think she is a star for somebody her age.

Cancer is 'evidently' due to lack of vitamin b-17
Well that ought to save all those thousands of scientists spending all those £millions on all that research they are doing, apricot seeds well I never...perhaps we should ring the boffins in the morning and tell them to have the rest of the week off?

mohammad didn't take another wife nor begin to say that allah thought it was a good idea to have more than one wife until after his first wife died.
...and then he took a second wife who was 6 years old and raped her when she was 9

I am sure that apostates would be stoned to death. Wasn't there a watchtower back in the 50s or 60s that lamented the fact that secular law prohibited killing apostates?
I honestly believe that islam is a destructive mind controlling cult. Thank god (or allah) for all the members who don't take Mohammed seriously. Its time they had the courage to speak up in defense of religious apathy

Problems with Soccer (Football) from an American Standpoint
by RubaDub inso as not to hijack another thread, just a few comments on why we (americans) find that soccer is generally a boring game to watch.. 1. lack of scoring: american football adjusts the rules periodically so that each team averages around 3 touchdowns per game.
basketball added the three-point line to encourage more scoring.
even traditional baseball has tweaked the rules to encourage more scoring.

Is there a penalty for leaving Islam and becoming a Christian or Hindu?
Islam is the state religion of the Maldives, a tiny island group in the Indian Ocean. In fact the constitution dictates that citizens must be muslim.
At a recent lecture given by a muslim cleric, Mohamed Nazim stunned the audience during questions and answers period by stating that he had chosen freedom of conscience not to follow Islam. The man was promptly attacked, taken into custody, and has been threatened with death and beheading
What an odious cult islam is. I have no doubt the watchtower would behave exactly the same if only they had secular power.

I cannot think of another sport where if the defense makes an error, falls down or is out of position, that the offense is penalized
Yeah I couldn't follow what you mean by that either Rubadub. Can you give an example?

Sorry couldn't disagree more. The offside law is simple and encourages skillful attacking play and coordinated movement of the back four. When you watch the game stop focusing on the ball, look away from it and observe the movement of the best strikers in the world and the near telepathic timing of midfielders. Trying to get behind the back four with skillful combinations is one of the biggest challenges of the game.
We have no offside law for children's football and the mess in the final third is not pretty to watch.
Anything that outlaws the kind of genius long passing that the likes of Beckham was/is capable of would impoverish the game.
Most claims that teams were robbed by bad offside calls are wishful thinking. Its easy for a linesman to judge, its only a problem for the referee at the lowest levels of the amateur game where assistants may not be available.
I agree that diving should be punished mercilessly
