If Jehovah doesn't care about numbers, could an "organization" be of such crucial importance to Him?

Partaker Number To Be Eliminated?
by LostGeneration inthe recent wt that has been discussed quite a bit here offers up this quote:.
"we thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know.
the governing body does not keep a list of all partakers, for it does not maintain a global network of anointed ones.

It's MOST appropriate to partake at the Memorial if there is "false superstition" surrounding the practice. Doing so shows submission to Christ and obedience to Him rather than men and will hopefully dispel said superstition.
The comment has been made that folks in The Org are hungering and thirsting for Jesus (no pun intended) and the more the WT continues to clamp down the more will partake as they desire to be closer to He who - even the GB must admit - is the true Lord and Saviour.

Here is the funeral talk outline. VERY discraceful.
by stillstuckcruz inthis is truly terrible.
i just love the statement "instead of eulogizing the deceased, use the material in this outline to give a fine witness concerning the truth.
" in other words, utterly disregard the deceased.

"Can't lies be defeated by truth easily?"
I've asked this before, and this question has been posed by WT writers in their own publications. Though the question and answer are both couched in typical evasive WT doublespeak, the short answer is EVIDENTLY... "No".
And yes, I want people (including my JW loved ones) to celebrate my life too when I've shuffled off this mortal coil, rather than focus on my passing. As we all well know, the minute the thought of "death" enters a typical JW's mind the immediate knee-jerk reaction is The Resurrection Is The Only Hope... supposedly necessitating the sales pitch.

Yup. Nobody "kicks out" or "disfellowships" trolls from the forum, they usually leave of their own accord when overwhelming evidence that something is rotten in Denmark comes to light. The kitchen gets a shade warm, they bolt, then reappear under a different guise.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Nothing new under the sun.

Straight from the September Watchtower. How can they print this without blushing?
by nicolaou inthe watchtower september 1, 2010 11. .
the dangers of being deceived (page 10/11).
to deceive, says one dictionary, means to cause to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.

MrFreeze,
Maybe the Bethel moles/jokers realize nobody reads the damn thing, which is why they can get away with in-jokes like this - just doing it to amuse themselves, basically.

For leaders who supposedly believe Armageddon is imminent, they sure as hell don't act like they do.

An Old Argument.... does it hold water?
by AK - Jeff inestimates range from 4 million to 15 million children die from starvation each year on this planet.
that's between 500 and 1700 children a day, depending on what numbers you accept.
still, no matter which numbers you use, doesn't this make you arrive at one of the following conclusions?.

I think it may be a mistake to assume that the kind of force we would normally refer to as "God" is necessarily omnipotent. Like Einstein and Spinoza, I believe in a higher power that may not be a "personal" God in the traditonal sense, but, like all great mysteries of the universe, it's definitely out there in some form, and we would do well to respect and be humbled by it but not be too hasty to jump to conclusions, make assumptions about its nature, or formulate dogmatic opinions as to what "it" is all about.

Watchtower Tenets and the Bed of Procrustes
by JWStruggle ini recently published an article on my blog about the mythical villian procrustes (pronounced: proh-kruhs-teez) and how he and the wt have something in common.
notice the assertion made regarding 1 corinthians 1:10 in this magazine quote:.
now if anyone comes into the congregation to try to upset adherence to that true word of god and causes stumbling or a division in the congregation, it is necessary to avoid that one.

Theseus has always been a personal favorite of mine amongst Hellenic mythopoetic characters. His coolness factor just shot way up :-)

"get over it... Dunno... didn't ever think twice about them..."
Teary, I honestly hope to God you aren't for real. You cannot possibly imagine how horrendous you're making both JWs and "autistic" folks look if that's what you really are. Unless, of course, that's your intent... in which case you're doing a truly spectacular job.
I'm done. No more FTT, Teary can look for sustenance elsewhere.
