Page 3 is priceless: "Yes, This Is the Study Edition!" Not a bit of condescension there, eh? Are the poor Dubs really THAT confused and/or stupid, or does the WT just ASSUME they are? Either way it doesn't speak well of the leadership...

BTW, why is it the handful of decent WT "apologists" left always have to operate under a shroud of secrecy and/or anonymity? Why is it the best, most literate, intelligent, reasonable, passionate, and capable defenders of the Organization are never actual GB members (or on the Writing Committee for that matter)?

I was talking to a DFed friend about "The Truth" (which he still believes it is) and brought up several points including what Pastor Russell said about the dangers of organization and such. He practically yelled at me, "I don't CARE what Pastor Russell said!" and then later said to me in an angry tone "Open your eyes... to the truth!"
And I just continue to shake my head as the beat goes on...

Teary,
The current claims of the WT to be Jehovah's spokesmen/channel/organization etc. all revolve around obscure events (and moreso, LITERATURE) related to the Society in the late 19th/early 20th century. If these claims hold any water, said obscure literature CANNOT be written off as irrelevant. It's CRUCIAL.

Vin Toole at work: How much of JWs donations are spent on legal challenges?
by MrMonroe inthis talk of vin toole's involvement in the steven unthank case in victoria reminded me of a legal case back in 1999 that went all the way to the high court of australia.. in february 1998 a 20-year-old sister named sherin qumsieh gave birth in a melbourne hospital.
complications developed, she required an emergency hysterectomy and began suffering severe blood loss.
she had signed a blood card, but the hospital warned her husband, nidal, that there was a high likelihood she'd die if she didn't have a transfusion.

Personally, I can't wait to find out about the "Dawn Mobile". I'm imagining one of those hanging mobiles, with seven little stars and a little throne in the center.

Interesting the "one true Christian religion" only officially adopted the word "Christian" into one of its official monikers for purely legal reasons.

Barb Anderson's MEMORIES OF MAX LARSON
by Dogpatch infrom: http://www.freeminds.org/blogs/musings-of-a-watchtower-insider/memories-of-max-larson.html.
barb anderson's memories of max larson.
theres much to be remembered about max larson, but for me, there were two things that i remember the mostthe wonderful timbre of his speaking voice and his strange-looking, very long eyebrow hairs that grew every which way.

Unless I'm mistaken, this article, ostensibly about the One True Christian Religion, contains ZERO mentions of Jesus, Christ, or even Christianity. Which is equally baffling considering the word "Bible" appears 11 times! I guess the WT speaks for itself on the matter of whether it is a Christ-centered religious organization or nothing more than a publishing company.
Wow.
