Website owners can get reports of IP addresses that visit their website. It would be funny to find out if this site gets regular visits from WT locations.

If it was a group of Methodists, Baptists, etc, the WT would print an article about how they don't have God's protection.

A question that bugging me
by wheelwithinwheel inwhy it has been deemed appropriate to assign brothers and sisters in each international convention city to spend hours and hours making souvenir grab bags full of knick-knacks.
and to assign other brothers and sisters to spend hours and hours preparing choreography, music, lighting, costumes and props, and practicing and practicing cowboy songs, pop music, dance and jw.org skits.. .
and to assign other brothers and sisters to spend hours and hours constructing giant bibles popping out of jw.org boxes and giant bibles turning into baptismal pools.. .

The WT is playing a huge 'reverse psychology' ploy. Instead of being quiet about 100 years since 1914 and nothing happened it's, "LETS CELEBRATE 100 YEARS OF CHRISTS RULE!!!" and before they can even think about it, it's JW.ORG KNICKNACKS, pentacostal dancing in the KH's to 'worldly music', JW tv show, tons of information and changes overload so 2014 passes without question and by 2015, 2014 is old news.

Ferguson Shooting (Is my thinking on this all wrong.......)
by out4good3 ini think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.
i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.
it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

Jehovah's Witnesses are the only people who don't practice war and who preach worldwide!
by EndofMysteries inthis is what somebody has been telling me, trying to convince me aside from anything one can say or cause reason for doubt, as the evidence that they are the true religion and true people of god.
they are convinced because while 'all other' christian and other religions support war, troops, etc, jw's don't and they are the only one's who carry god's name and preach.
nothing else matters.

What would be your reply to that?
Have a list of other religions that don't go to war, or who also preach, etc?
Or what would you say?

Awake January 2015: How did life begin? - More misquotes
by Designer Stubble in
some might assume that a scientifically-minded person would pick evolution and that a religious person would pick creation.
but not always.. rama singh, professor of biology at canadas mcmaster university, says: the opposition to evolution goes beyond religious fundamentalism and includes a great many people from educated sections of the population.
.
end-of-quote in awake.

"Jesus has now been ruling for 100 years....."
by EndofMysteries inthat was the comment a family member made to me (one of those period comments trying to get you to come back, etc).
they claim to be of the annointed.
i replied, so does that mean there are only 900 years left of his reign?

The WT put themselves in a bind on this. I think the WT says 100 years of kingdom rule?
It should have said 100 years of Jesus presence lol.
For anybody interested in exactly how this doctrine really developed, it began when Rutherford took over. Russell taught that people could get holy spirit and instruction from that. Rutherford taught that sometime between 1914 and 1918 Jesus returned, and when he returned holy spirit was no longer needed because Jesus would direct everything. That Jesus chose the WT, and by effect, Rutherford himself to dispense his orders. That's why early magazines about pioneer hours claim that if those weren't directly from the lord, they wouldn't be on there, but the lord picked those numbers of hours. Rutherford taught the holy spriit was gone and salvation was by obeying Jesus's commands through those he picked to carry out his orders. Rutherford also taught that it was nobodies business how Jesus issued those orders but it could include using angels and even the dead bro. russell to transmit information. When Rutherford died, it was between 10 and 20 years later that knorr reintroduced 'holy spirit' to be a force that was being used to direct. However, convieniently, the holy spirit didn't return freely to everybody in the world allowing anybody to understand the bible, but was limited to only Knorr and the so called governing body. So they did away with Rutherfords doctrine of holy spirit being gone since Jesus return, but then taught that nobody except them could get it, so people still had to obey them.

That was the comment a family member made to me (one of those period comments trying to get you to come back, etc). They claim to be of the annointed. I replied, so does that mean there are only 900 years left of his reign? When you go to heaven, are you ruling for less than 1,000 years then? I thought the scriptures said the rule begins after ALL anointed are taken to heaven, and if any are still alive, they are transformed to spirit creatures to join the rule?
Their reply, "eh eh eh eh :brain fart: that's not really known right now".
