Blacks who drop out of school and think getting educated is too white, doing well in school is too white, do not deserve high paying jobs because they don't have the skills and qualifications needed. Would you let a black who didn't finish high school and didn't get training perform brain surgery on you? Or are you being racist by not letting them be a brain surgeon? Now when 'those' blacks turn around and complain they can't get a job or advance in life because of discrimination, it was their choices. Now if on the other hand you have a black who did go through school, college, etc, and is on every aspect fully qualified then THAT would be true discrimination and I would be on their side that they are being wronged.

After the civil war and after blacks had freedom, in the southern states where they could vote they were kicked out, then a new form of slavery, the company stores came out, then many laws and the jim crow laws which held them back and had many jailed for no good reason, etc.

White people commit more crimes, but blacks are punished more harshly for the same crimes."Now as for the white people commit more crimes, do you mean in the sense of if there are 100million whites and 10 million blacks, if 20% of whites commit crime and 50% of blacks commit crime that it's 20million whites vs 5 million blacks? Or do you mean statistically out of 10 or 100 whites or blacks that whites have a higher percentage of criminals?

GrreatTeacher - First I'll say Russian and Italian immigrants, and especially Asians were very discriminated against as well in the early 1900's. Anyway are you saying that blacks are pulled over more often for no reason because whites and asians are committing just as many crimes, and that whites have a higher employment even though most blacks value education and getting a good job, and that from all survellience cameras and caught criminals, whites and asians shoplift and steal from stores just as much as blacks but only blacks are scrutinized?

My thoughts so far, and please correct me if I'm wrong, are that it's not a phenomenon at all. But that whites enjoy a higher employment because STATISTICALLY more whites have both parents in their lives, more often they value education, college, and advancing in work and due to those things they are less likely to be in poverty and motivated to steal things.

I feel really bad for all the blacks who DO try to live a good life. I think the real issue is that a large percentage of the black community look down on education, and getting a good job or even any job which is the real reason for the lower employment levels. A huge percentage don't have their fathers around(I have no idea how race plays into that phenomenon but it's true), there is just a big part that keep themselves down and try to keep everyone else down with them. Those ones while bringing the low or non employment on themselves, committing many crimes, etc, all blaming it on the white man and it makes those trying to do the right thing look bad and those people get upset because police look more or they may get suspicious looks in shops, etc. So the ones to blame are those of that community keeping everybody else down. Whites in this country did oppress and keep them down for a long time, but now blacks have even more rights then whites, and many employers, colleges, etc, have to make sure they have 'diversity'. Blacks as a whole community can be advancing and working their way up. But as long as they think it's cool to have kids with 5 or 10 different girls, idolizying the thug lifestyle, thinking that education, proper grammar, and a good job are 'too white', they'll continue to be a disproportionate amount in jail because of crime, unemployment, etc, and somehow they'll still be blaming whites for that, even though it's their own choice.

"Just curious, what are your regular news sources EoM?"

I look at several because it's hard if not impossible to find one that is always 100% truthful.

I use cnn, reuters, bbc, dailymail, etc. If it's a major story I want many details on and to make sure I have the most accurant information, I'll type in a keyword on google news and there is usually a list of like 100 I can look through.

While black people didn't have rights in the USA, my family before I was born were either under oppression by communist Russia or in Italy. In the early 1900's and onwards the USA had TONS of so called 'whites' from all over Europe, Russia, etc, immigrating to the USA. Do blacks have a way to categorize white people into those who had ancestors during the slave years until the early 1900's who are decendants of the oppressors vs those who are decendants of those who had nothing to do with it?

I'm sorry to hear what you went through in NC though. I know even today the eastern part of that state has a divide.

I asked that very question years ago but in a different sense.

Years ago doctors said/thought I had depression and since brain chemicals can't be measured it's an experimental process.

Throughout that time, I had been put on effexor and even adderall.

Up until that time, I had believed that everything about a person and their personality was a CHOICE. If a person was angry, they just didn't have self control and they allowed themselves to be that way, etc. What happened though changed my whole perspective.

I reacted very badly with effexor. I am very mild, never the kind to pick a fight, etc. Effexor made me a ticking time bomb. I felt the change though, it was almost as if I was possessed. I remember somebody did something so minor one day that normally I or anybody wouldn't of even been slightly offended by it, but it took every ounce of will power I had to not knock them out. I walked away and kicked a door so hard i almost broke it. At that point I cold turkeyed the stuff. Then there was adderall, the first few days I felt super good and super spiritual and wanting peace for the whole world, etc and everybody around me seemed so down and depressed when they should all be much much happier.

Both of those experiences showed me how much chemicals have an impact on how we are. It also made me question if many violent attacks, rampages, family killings, etc, are truly from the person or if they had a reaction to a med like those or withdrawal.

Marijuana, etc, is illegal but drugs like Effexor SHOULD BE BANNED! I did google research and found many who become criminally violent from it.

Pistoff - okay, so the evidence of prejudice and discrimination is because blacks are more incarcerated than whites and pulled over by cops for no reason.

I'd like to fairly discuss this issue. I have been pulled over ONCE in my life for 'no reason'. I'm white. I was pulled over when I had a job which involved me driving to prospect customers homes to give a presentation. Sometimes I would get early or have to pull over the side of the street to get a map or wait. Now in this part of town, I tried to avoid pulling over because ANYWHERE in this area if I pulled over, a black man would appear from nowhere looking at me and trying to get my attention/see if I want to buy drugs. This isn't just one street but anywhere in this town. Were there drug dealers on every ounce of town that if they saw a white man in a car parked they assumed they wanted to buy drugs? Anyway it was driving through this town, (after not having pulled over at all but just on the way to a place) that I was pulled over for no reason. The cops asked what I was doing, where I was going, and finally said stuff happened nearby and just wanted to check about me. I can't think of any other neighborhoods anything like that would happen to me at.

Now the question, are cops pulling over blacks and way more blacks in jail than whites due to prejudice or is it due to a larger percentage of blacks happen to commit crime? As shown by so many comments and the examples that many who go for education and a career they can earn enough money to live off of end are spoken badly and said they are being too white, is it logical that all those who don't get education are pushed to crime to make a living, and those who embrace thug lifestyle? Is it that so many fatherless boys are not being guided to a good life and end up in crime?

Definitely show me where and if I am wrong, but if the majority of those blacks incarcerated because they were only raised by 1 parent or grandparent and didn't finish school because they didn't want to be a traitor to their community and act too white, are not those the things causing them to be incarcerated? How many of those are drug only offenses vs ones including theft and violence? And again correct me where this is wrong, but it seems prejudice is being blamed when that's not the reality. (not saying it doesn't happen, but the majority is not due to that).

No protests this year. I'm assuming it's because the WTS this year decided to hold conventions in the cheapest and most dangerous areas in the country, so would be protestors had no desire to get mugged on the way or home from the protest, etc.

Question to any practicing JWs

i ask you to consider this scenario:.

a devoutly born-again christian man, who strives to live every facet of his life in accordance with what is written in the gospels, spends all of his time helping the poor, reading his bible cover-to-cover, living an austere life and genuinely feels that his life is motivated by his love of christ.

a real christian in practice, both public and private.

Mr. Falcon = I asked the same question to one of my hardcore/judgemental relatives and this was their answer,

"It doesn't matter how good, how sincere, how much they help the poor, how much they believe in the bible, etc they are, if they aren't part of Jehovah's visible organization which the bible clearly says is through a faithful and discreet slave, then they will die at armageddon."

Now when I myself was a JW, a few years before TTATT, I started to think about this and I couldn't agree and believe that they would be killed. Then one day I read a scripture about how everybody would get a fair judgement in Romans 2:14-16

14 For whenever people of the nations that do not have law do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. 15 They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused. 16 This will be in the day when God through Christ Jesus judges the secret things of mankind

That above scripture shows those who don't know God's will, but who follow the command of love and their conscience, that is part of the 'secret things' that will be judged.
