Well, I think we need Cantleave to ship a few bottles of this Brewdog brew over to the states for us!
I can get Brewdog locally, actually - but probably not that one. I had their Riptide a few weeks ago. Tasty.
How about it, Cantleave?

Cheers, fellas! I have an oatmeal stout that's almost finished... but tonight I'm drinking my Dogfish Head IPA (I could only afford the 60-minute this time around )

Yeah, one of my ex-bethelite (still JW) ex-friends would tell me stories of the multiple tours of Brooklyn Brewing! I am fortunate enough to have a great store nearby with an excellent selection of craft brews. I also brew my own, and have found that I mostly try new beers to see what I want to copy with my next batch... mmm.
Hey, BTS and Gregor, check this information out, it sounds interesting to me anyway:
Sam Adams surpassed Samichlaus in 1994 with its Triple Bock, which included maple syrup as an ingredient. It was fermented with champagne yeast and finished at a hefty 17.5% abv. For the arrival of the millennium, Sam Adams and Dogfish Head in Delaware both went after the record. Dogfish Head released its World Wide Stout, fermented with seven different yeasts, in December 1999 with a record 18.1% abv
This info is from the site I mention above. It's an interesting process that they speak of.
Edit: I did read that one of the Sam Adams high-alcohol beers had used the method of freezing and gradually removing the ice like BTS mentions.

Leavingwt - Brooklyn does make some tasty beers!
Here's some more information about how Sam Adams had made Millennium, which was the strongest beer at the time it was sold:

Hmm, I'm not so sure. There are several 15-18% beers out there. Dogfish Head (a personal favorite) makes a 120-minute IPA that is about 18%. Here is a video of the founder of the brewery explaining it. I will admit that he doesn't mention whether there is added distilled alcohol in it...

Oh man, a quadruple IPA? Will the alcohol subdue me before I'm strangled by those cruel, wonderful hops?
the doctrines of jehovah's witnesses are not original.. if they are not original and originating from their "faithful and discreet slave" class of anointed "prophets"--then they must be 2nd hand from other sources.. this would at once disprove the proprietary claims of special relationship with god as his mouthpiece.where did their ideas, doctrines, chronologies and reasonings find their source?
was it the "anointed" slave or was it from earlier failed speculators who had polished a messege that got people worked up into a fervor?.
for the answer to this we must revisit the time of the watchtower society's founder, c.t.
Mmm....meatloaf in due season...drool
Double trouble!
a couple weeks ago in the news in the sacramento, california area several billboards advertising atheism were spray painted and ripped apart with graffiti scribbled on the advertising.
things like " jesus died for you !
" and other threatening slogans were written on these billboards .
Yes, I think that people can be good without God. In fact, one of the things that I'm trying to build in myself, that the WTS tries to kill, is faith in humanity. No, we're not perfect. Yes, people do terrible things to one another. But I have also seen the good, caring, wonderful side of humanity as reflected in so many people that I've encountered- some who believe in God, others who don't.
It's your 14 thousandth post...?
Do tell, Grace!
