all you have to know is that the good guys wear the white jersey
Hey, wait a minute... are you trying to pull some fancy Canadian trick on me?
Tricky Canadian.

I was drinking Miller Lite but switched over to something a little stronger. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Sigh. Much better.
And just in time, too! USA scored just as I opened it. Whew! No need to thank me, guys.

Is Richard Dawkins an ostentatious acrimonious supercilious pusillanimous calumnious censorious vituperative querulous embittered obsessive and bombastic bully?
by slimboyfat inrichard dawkins closes down his free-thinking/free-thought site (www.richarddawkins.net) for 30 days to reconfigure it 'because too many morons were contributing drivel' (he doesn't put it quite like that!
) he is then surprised because those self-same contributors call him everything under the sun (i won't repeat the names flung at him on our ultra -refined boards).
he now wants the site more or less 'peer-reviewed' (by analogy with papers to learned/scientific journals having to be vetted by vips).

I have really enjoyed his books. He displays less patience for some views than others would like, but at least he doesn't keep one guessing.

2010 DC" Remain in Gods Love"...Most Unloving Yet??
by JWFreak inthe talk outlines for the summers conventions are only being printed over the next 2 weeks or so.. the finished outlines were ready in the middle of december 2009, however sources that i trust tell me that at least 5 of the talks were returned for last minute rewriting which is highly unusual.
this has held up the printing until now, a delay of over a month.
this is a fact!!.

Wow, I find myself keenly anticipating this DC... but this is the first year I'll be missing it. I'll await any information with bated breath. I would love to see a noticeable tightening of the handcuffs, as passwordprotected puts it, in the hopes that any low-hanging fruit (shout out to ATJ) will drop from the tree. Hopefully it will help some of my friends and family see the light. Doubtful, but one can hope!

Borg court: 2nd session
by sd-7 injudicial committee, round 2. i have to give it to the elders on this one.
they fought well, albeit with unrefined technique.
pure strength of authority apparently seems to make up for a lack of sufficient evidence, just as the 300-pound fellow who believed you were checking out his girlfriend can beat the tar out of you even though you were merely looking at the clock behind her on the wall.

Thanks for checking in and updating us, Christopher. It seems that you have carried yourself well, and I hope that you can look back on this time not with regret but with pride at having stood your ground. Whatever happens, you have stood for something, and that's really not a bad thing. My thoughts are with you and your young family.

I used to take myself seriously. Then I found out that most of what I had always believed was wrong. Now I take myself much less seriously. My wife takes me even less seriously than I do...
