  Saturday Mornings

  then: get up grumpy, shower, go to starbucks, leave magazine to start time, drive to kingdom hall, hope to be able to work with friends in service so we can do just a few doors and then calls and an early lunch.. .

  now: get up when i wake up, make coffee, read the boards, read the wsj and sf chronicle, wait for wife to wake up, take dog on a walk and decide what fun things to do in the bay area this weekend.. i love my weekends now!.

  what things about elders do only elders know and the rest of us dont?

  i never knew they had a hand book till i came on here.

  unsure why they dont mention it because surely its not meant to be a secret?.

  cheerio's... i was just jesting..meaning life in general is mad.

  I know the world because thats where i come from and i loved it out there. I dont let others in the truth run it down, unless what they say is true, otherwise i wont allow it, afterall the ones brought up in the truth say nasty things yet know not what they are talking about.

  Yeah, but we don't really have any reason to disbelieve her, and its no skin off my nose whether they know or not, so I choose to believe her. Just sayin'.

  yeah, true that. i, however, choose not to believe her because ever since i left the cult, my cognitive disonance gene stopped working ... now it's like: what a mo, that don't ring true ..

  Cola at the District Convention

  remember some of the garbage served at the district conventions?.

  i was at the dollar store today and noticed they started carrying "shasta" cola.. i started laughing because they used to serve that skunk water at the district conventions when i was a kid.. they always brought in the cheapest, nastiest soda they could buy.. one year we had something called vess cola - that was actually worse than the shasta!

  then, they ran out on sunday and had to buy pepsi from the local distributor - we were all rejoicing!!.

  anyone else remember those HORRIBLE egg mcmuffin wannabes? i think they called them: muff-n-eggs (which we thought was hysterical because muff isn't exactly the kind of word you would expect a bunch of prude witlesses to be using ... )

  In the wt 8/15/09 there was an article titled, "Did You Once Serve? Can You Serve Again?" and was entirely about former elders and ministerial servants serving again.

  this article is largely aimed at those paroled pedophiles former elders that were removed due to pedophilia and/or sentenced to prison terms had to step down because of health reasons ...
