Too Much Discontent in Congregation Part 1
by Simon Templar ini am seeing and hearing many, many long-time jws openly expressing problems with either the watchtower society itself, the publications, changing doctrine, incorrectly living their lives as a result of bad doctrine, the behavior of the boe and other related things.
i will share some of these things in several posts, because there are just too many of them.
the complaints that i hear from publishers and pioneers are many.

Response:
Local congregations have always had their fair share of malcontents who are dissatisfied with specified elders but who still believe the organization is under Jehovah's direction.
Clearly, some of the dissatisfaction and complaining has to be regarding "Jehovah's organization" and not merely toward local bodies of elders as even the most deluded JW understands that interpretation and doctrine hail only from the Most Holy and not from any local yokels.

CO in midwest gets pink-slipped
by LevelThePlayingField ini saw the coordinator heading for the stage and hit record on my ipad.
i was shocked but here it is.
here's my typed transcript of the letter he read:.

I would say this has more to do with the one CO and is not indicative of retiring all CO's.
I seriously doubt the pink-slipped CO would've been allowed by the Society to contact congregations with such a letter if his "reassignment" had related specifically to him for some confidential reason. The only communication would be official and come directly from HQ bearing some camouflaged language. Plus I doubt the guy would've feigned such cluelessness in his letter if he was aware something really was up with him and his wife.
That seems to indicate that they're not getting rid of or decreasing the number of COs in general, but are maybe getting rid of the older ones who are getting to the age that they might be more trouble than they're worth.
This guy's letter clearly indicates he's been told absolutely nothing, including whether a truly new CO is being assigned. He's likely merely assuming. He knows for certain only that he and his wife were given the boot. So it could be all of these scenarios, some, or only one.What it's very unlikely to be, however, is 'none of the above,' imo.

Special Pioneer Sister-in-Law and Husband just got their letter.
by cappytan inwell, my sister-in-law and her husband, special pioneers for only a couple of years, just got their letter.. her comment was along the lines of, "they're having to do this because they forgave all those kingdom hall loans a few years ago and the brothers aren't donating anymore.".
when my wife told me, i laughed so hard i farted.

It's possible that they're just doing what they think they're supposed to be doing. I bet a healthy percentage (at least of the ones that have two brain cells to rub together are praising it because that's just what you do. In the back of their mind though, something just isn't right. As an example - I've had a bad knee due to an injury for about 12 years now. No matter what the doctors did I was left with frequent knee pain. When people would ask me about a recent surgery I would often say "It'll sure be nice in the new system when I have someone working on it that knows what they're doing!" At the time I was at a low point (in hindsight I was sooooo close to waking up) in my belief and as I said the words it just made me feel worse because I knew that it was a delusion. But I said it, and I acted cheerful about it because that's what was expected of me. Social pressure is a bitch. People could be praising it now hoping that they'll figure it out, but once they realize that their inability to make sense of it isn't their fault, the story will start to change.
Hit squarely on the nail's head!
Similar to yourself, I disingenuously persisted in chirping the cult line all the while I was mentally strategizing my checkout following the first highly-insulting reiteration of "generation" back in late 1995. I even commented during that very Watchtower Study while inwardly seething.
We should never deceive (and depress!) ourselves by supposing we awakened ones are so much smarter than those still giving the appearance of being mentally trapped merely because they dutifully continue to mouth the mantras. Many are just like we were--keeping their powder dry as they contemplate the best way and right time to make their escape.

I would very much like to hear from Christian more specifically what exactly were some of the doubts he mentioned that he'd had even before discovering the Watchtower's association with the UN as an NGO.
Also, it might be useful to know specifically how and with what subjects he approached his wife that proved so effective; and whether her love for and trust in her husband were the sole reasons she considered what he was telling her rather than immediately turning him in as his brother did. Had she been suppressing doubts of her own?
Great couple. Very hopeful content in this video. Thanks for posting.

Silly! It's a biblical number with incredible significance! You see ... 2 and 4 represent the 2nd and 4th book of the bible, specifically Exodus (6 letters) and Numbers (7 letters). 6 x 7 = 42. If you take the inverse of that (representing the flip flop of doctrines), you get 24. See? It makes perfect sense.
For one brief agonizing moment you transported me back to a 70s-80s era book study...[shudder].

In the tenth point on page 1, a reference to the Shepherding textbook, chapter 3, par- agraphs 6-10, has been inserted. This will serve as a reminder of the need for elders to make sure they have full and complete information regarding brothers being rec- ommended for appointment, especially in the circumstances noted in the reference.
Any chance of posting the reference insert mentioned here?

nothing blasts a louder, clearer, and more deliberate message to the jws who personally knew you and those familiar with your jw bona fides that you are not merely "not making the meetings," "inactive," or "spiritually-weak," but that there is a conscientious reason you have rejected the entire watchtower society life than choosing to forego what they know you once believed to be jehovah's must-attend, one-and-only, holy/sacred event of the year for his people, the lord's evening meal.. you hand them the very justification they so relish to self-righteously label you as a "submarine witness" deserving of jehovah's, and more importantly, their judgement.
