  repeat movies

  there are a very small number of movies that i can watch more than once.

  most get old after the first viewing.. there are very few movies i can watch over and again.. i love having a six pack of tall boys and watching "apocolypse now".. i love watching "tommy, the movie" on the rare occation that i have a doobie.. what movie would yoou reccommend as a "must own"or "must appreciate"?.

  any opinions welcome.. .

  i just came from the meeting and was told that the new world translation is the best in the world according to jason beduhn.

  the nwt does go all the way back to the original languages.

  the nwt does not change words to support doctrines.

  i'm not sure where this thought came from (believers will no doubt say 'from satan'), but it has started to coalesce in my brain lately.

  i've often referred to the bible and argued from it to debunk jw beliefs, and still tried to consider it as a great piece of literature at the very least.

  but as my wife was listening to the meeting on a loud speaker phone at home this weekend, i just had this thought.

  i lost one, and i am saddened by it.

  i may disagree with friends over politics and/or religion, but the only reason i would cut off a friend is if they betrayed me.

  anyone else lost friends or cut off friends because of politics or religion?.

  For photographers - Canon shooters

  i'm a nature photographer and like most always seeking better, longer glass.. i'm most attracted to the 600mm f4 is canon lens though some have suggested dropping down to a 500mm due to the weight issue.

  both these lenses are heavy and i can't see myself lugging either one long distances without my modified baby stroller.. any experiences with either lens?

  what tripod head are you using?.

  I used to be into photography 20 years back, most of my equipment long gone & my only current camera is my phone LOL

  If the Borg has the Truth what are they worried about?

  jw's will of course argue that they have the truth.. if that be the case, why are they terrified to talk to.

  people or visit sights that expose their beliefs?.

  if someone speaks the truth there should be nothing.

  thtat's what i always thought,

  if it's the truth I would be protected or shielded from any corruption that i would come upon in the world.........so much BS

  This reminds me of something else that was an unwritten

  law when I was an elder. Never ever ever make a sheparding

  call on a sister without having another elder with you because

  9 times out of 10 you would end up having sex with her.

  So our fear and love of God was so strong, however just being in a room

  by yourself with a Sister and down comes the pants and the dirty

  deed is done. What will power we did not have.

  They didn't have much faith in the members did they, hearing those sort of rules always made me laugh
