when i was like 3 or 4, i have vivid memories of my dad praying with me when it was time for bed...one night he wanted me to say my own prayer out loud. i was embarassed cuz i didnt know what to say...hes proceeds to yell at me and forces me to say a prayer even though i begged him not to make me.

what is the one thing that made you want to NEVER go back???
by NINfan05 infor me it was when my elder dad put brusies on my arm, drug me down the hallway making me hit my head and broke my finger which resulted in surgery...and then he blamed it all on me!!!!
made me go to the meeting with my cast all druged up on pain killers and tell everyone that asked me what happened that it was an accident.
f***ing loser!!!!!

I was terrified of them. I used to wake up in the middle of the night with a feeling like I was out of breath and being smothered
i had the same thing happen to me but i just turned out it was my anti-depressants giving me vivid nightmares...went away as soon as i forced myself off them...they did more harm than good.

what was the worst advice you were ever given
by rockmehardplace ini was that one way to increase my field service time for me and my wife was by standing at a truck stop and hand out tapes to truckers in the early mornings.
this is the same lot that is frequented by drug dealers and hookers.
another time, while studying, i said i did not understand the blood issue.

well lets see...
this summer i am trying to pay of some debt that i got after losing some work this past winter.
after that i hope to get to go to school to become an interior designer. or at least start saving some to go towards it. feels great to actually have a goal in life that is ACUALLY MINE!!!!!!
other than that i think if my husband and i get some vacation time we will prolly go camping/canoeing down in MO. Current river is the best!! woohoo!

Did the elders in your congregation give counsel to those that were DATING? Good or bad counsel?

some elders forbid the couple from sitting together at the meetings unless they are engaged.
i have heard that said from the platform.

oh yeah i had a sister pull me into a coat room to tell me that she saw me and my fiance' in the same car and if i didnt tell my dad she was going to tell the elders about it. i was so upset i cried the whole meeting in the bathroom. i dont see what the big deal was...we were just going to mcdonalds drive through lol guess i should have thought about all the dumb asses out in field circus. glad thats the only time she or anyone else saw us...haha

my husband and i got married very young. i was 18 and he was 19. we together since we were 14 and 15. of course my dad was in denial being an elder he had to make himself look good. (always) well we got engaged when i was 17. only then were we actually taken serious by any elder. of course we then had to go in front of a commitee cuz we got in trouble. lol
