  Transfer of Bank Balances and Kingdom Halls.

  two things related to ongoing comments regarding forgiving of loans / transfer of balances to the wtbs and the ownership of kingdom halls.

  firstly, i would argue that congregations don't care that bank balances have been transferred to the society.

  i would contend that people contribute to the preaching work, and that's it , so long as there is enough in the bank to maintain the hall with a reasonable reserve, then i doubt many would argue against it.

  Juan: Very nice summary. I remember when you broke the Menlo Park kingdom hall back then but didn't take too much note, it just seemed like local power play... fast forward now and it is clear decisions to sell KHs are being taken even in my country centrally, there is even a website dedicated to selling KHs and other properties.

  Well spotted back then, I guess it shows how you can sometimes predict more about what the WT will do by observing details.

  Still, I think the big questions remain what they need 2-3 billion dollars for.

  RedPill: I think homochirality is a millstone around the neck of abiogenesis. I think the first proteins couldn't arise from a primordial soup with only racemic ingredients.

  konceptual: that's a very good picture. you can really tell how many additional buildings there were in the original plan and how closely spaced they were. It looks like the left-most half of the project (non-residential) has been rotated, buildings have been removed and the warehouse/(printery?) could be a very slimmed down version (it is hard to see due to the perspective).

  It is unthinkable they wont brag about the project later so it will be interesting to compare once more detailed plans become available. Judging from the existing construction work under way I bet the project was halted and already completed/approved plans were re-written; I would be interested if someone with experience in construction had an opinion.

  konceptual: It looks like offices (greenish blue buildings) move into "residential services" and one set of offices is removed. I think there might still be four rows of residential, the last building is just next to the lobby (it could be something else of course). Residential services would be kitchens right? (if I recall these were removed as part of the downsizing). Removing offices would make sense with reduced printing activities as I assume there must be some computer work involved in printing.

  Auditorium would make sense for education of evangelizes. Could there possibly be a fee on the cards and then a system of "scholarships"?

  Lol yes I see your point. I also see that having these laws of nature, is evidence of guidance. But I don't disagree I just have a different perspective.

  So what you are really proposing is the argument of natural laws, i.e. the existence of laws (such as those guiding auto-catalysis and other chemistry) implies the existence of a creator?

  I have concluded that evolution is guided. I see that molecules formed of a specific symmetry because they were guided by auto-catalysis.

  Just to clarify: You have concluded that the evolution of these molecules are guided by auto-catalysis (a natural process), but how do you then go from concluded that their evolution is guided by a natural process to being guided by God? Isn't this in contradiction?

  Presumably, auto-catalysisis not violating any laws of nature?
