I conclude evolution is guided
by KateWild inyour qualifications are way above mine so i'd love to hear more about the specifics of what you have researched and how that supports the existence of a deity.
k99, i am not really convinced that you're interested in my conclusions.

RedPill: I think homochirality is a millstone around the neck of abiogenesis. I think the first proteins couldn't arise from a primordial soup with only racemic ingredients.
That the WT featured this argument in their last crapcast would be enough to send me running!

here is the text of a letter to be read out this week:.

konceptual: that's a very good picture. you can really tell how many additional buildings there were in the original plan and how closely spaced they were. It looks like the left-most half of the project (non-residential) has been rotated, buildings have been removed and the warehouse/(printery?) could be a very slimmed down version (it is hard to see due to the perspective).
It is unthinkable they wont brag about the project later so it will be interesting to compare once more detailed plans become available. Judging from the existing construction work under way I bet the project was halted and already completed/approved plans were re-written; I would be interested if someone with experience in construction had an opinion.

konceptual: It looks like offices (greenish blue buildings) move into "residential services" and one set of offices is removed. I think there might still be four rows of residential, the last building is just next to the lobby (it could be something else of course). Residential services would be kitchens right? (if I recall these were removed as part of the downsizing). Removing offices would make sense with reduced printing activities as I assume there must be some computer work involved in printing.
Auditorium would make sense for education of evangelizes. Could there possibly be a fee on the cards and then a system of "scholarships"?

Temple farm is a bit like when I am assembling Ikea furniture. There is a lot more stuff in the illustration than in the finished product and I can't figure out what goes where :-D.

Lol yes I see your point. I also see that having these laws of nature, is evidence of guidance. But I don't disagree I just have a different perspective.
So what you are really proposing is the argument of natural laws, i.e. the existence of laws (such as those guiding auto-catalysis and other chemistry) implies the existence of a creator?

I have concluded that evolution is guided. I see that molecules formed of a specific symmetry because they were guided by auto-catalysis.
Just to clarify: You have concluded that the evolution of these molecules are guided by auto-catalysis (a natural process), but how do you then go from concluded that their evolution is guided by a natural process to being guided by God? Isn't this in contradiction?
Presumably, auto-catalysisis not violating any laws of nature?

Hi Kate,
I am not sure I understand the exact argument you are spelling out. I think we agree that nature only use left-handed amino acids for good reasons -- if an organism produces a mixture of left-and-right handed amino acids the right-handed variants would not be able to function with the left handed ones and at best they would be useless (but expensive) to produce and most likely (as I understand it) they would gunk up the inner workings of the cell due to their interaction with the left-handed counterparts. This is true regardless if evolution created life or if God did.
My point is that if we naively imagine different cells where one cell produce 100% left-handed molecules, another produce 90% left handed and so on then the cells that produced predominantly left-handed amino acids would have a benefit over the others and, accordingly, evolution would select for them. In other words this seems like a straight-forward problem to explain with natural selection.
For this to be a real challenge for evolution, I suppose one would have to argue that machinery that only produced molecules of one particular symmetry could not have evolved for some specific reason; but I haven't seen such an argument.
If I am missing something, can you spell out exactly what your argument is?
