Qcmbr: I agree. The UK should sign article 50 ASAP and get the hell out before they do more damage. That Cameron/Boris Johnson is dragging his feet is a sign the leave campaign have no clue what should follow.

One Thing I Don't Get About Brexit
by JW_Rogue inhow did such a weighty decision get put directly in the hands on the average citizen?
and with only a simple majority required?
in the usa the biggest thing that people vote on directly is city building projects or infrastructure.

Bohm that is exactly what the commission does, it creates binding regulations and it determines all legislative proposals. But you are wrong it is not 'democratically' elected by the 'people'. Effectively the people's elected representatives do not get any determination on policy.
The commission is not elected democratically, true, but it is appointed every 4 years by democratically elected heads of state and confirmed by the EP. You have to compare this state of affairs to other non-elected (but appointed) positions in every single western democracy.
That "peoples elected representatives do not get any determination on policy" is FUD. The commission cannot make final decisions on EU law or policy. I would strongly advice you not to rely on the leave-campaigns talking points.

Logistics -- that would be sending magazines from the printing place to KHs? (not sure how the arrangement works right now). Do you have any idea/guess about the time frame for when this will be announced and implemented?
I guess that under the great tribulation the secret supermarket will be the last thing to go under lol.

Here's a view on homosexuality for you...
by konceptual99 in...right from a pro-jw site in response to a post about the relative seriousness of homosexuality.
all you can do is reason from the scriptures, which you appear to have done.
homosexuality is as serious as bestiality, or adultery and fornication.

The idea that what others do in private requires or is any way interested in your "endorsement" is not only bizarre. It's actually what I would call perverted or abhorrent.
I am thinking about including my endorsements into every-day conversations, they are a biographical fact I don't think people can do without:
"Despite you and your wife both being quite fat, Sir, I must say you are both very fine people. I will allow for you to carry out sexual acts even though I cannot endorse them"

Johnfree: i am sorry, but that is not what the commision does. I am on an ipad but i recommend you read about it on the net. Briefly, the commission draft legislation which is then voted on. The commission has to be selected and confirmed democratically every 4 years. Compare to role of other appointed officials in democratic systems

Observations: If man is merely a machine and the universe is merely a mechanism .
by Believer inobservations: if man is merely a machine and the universe is merely a mechanism .... if men were only machines, they would react more or less uniformly to a material universe.
individuality, much less personality, would be nonexistent.. materialism reduces man to a soulless automaton and constitutes him merely an arithmetical symbol finding a helpless place in the mathematical formula of an unromantic and mechanistic universe.
but whence comes all this vast universe of mathematics without a master mathematician?

Okay Believer, so the principle you are following is that if I don't know how something works that means your explanation is correct?
If not, please explain what principle you are following because I am confused...

Sorry but that's not how it works. That I don't know how conscience works does not mean your favored idea is correct. Also I don't know how you get the idea of "spontaneously created itself" from, that sounds utterly bizarre.
