My Father is inactive. He has dementia and is in a wheelchair now. He is really not capable of putting any sort of meaningful sentence together anymore.
Does this place him in the JW coward category?
breaking news from co!!
according to a reliable source, the co in my area says that jws may have been hearing the phrase, "final push" being used.
what sage advice did this shepherd, duke, and "star" of revelation have to say?

i noticed that anthony morris iii just said on the broadcast: "while we cannot control everything that an individual might say, it is clear that over the decades protecting children from abuse is a top priority for this organization.".
that, in my opinion, is a direct response to the richard ashe "spiritual protection not physical protection" deposition.. here's a video putting the two statements side by side.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgevpuyn7gy.
Well TOMO 3, words are just words. Saying it is a top priority and actually MAKING it a top priority are 2 very different things. Your organization's methods for protecting kids are 100% useless.
Zalkin is comin' for ya.
sugar water will show blue light over the sun.. salt water will show red light over the sun.. our body components, salt sugar water.. blue blood vein and red blood... definition of our body in his form.. this is the evidence, of our god..
lol @ smiddy. You know, now that you've changed your avatar, I constantly think of this:
6 weeks ago some jws came to my door.
i've been inactive for 8 years.
after they gave their presentation i told them i was inactive.
Alchemist said: I am baptized and I left 8 years ago because I disagreed with the the idea that the GB is God's sole channel of communication.
Unless you have changed your mind about this, the GB as sole channel of communication with God is still an ideal held by this religion. So you would still have this issue even if you went back.
May I ask you ... have you created your life plan? What do you want to do with your life? What do you enjoy doing? What things give you joy?
Connecting with like minded people may help you through this tough time. Perhaps join a group or club that does something you enjoy or something that interests you. Help out at a local food bank or shelter or sign up to help out on a Habitat for Humanity project. Consider taking a course to learn something new. Seeing a counselor may also be something to look into.
dear randy:.
i don't know if this is publishable on your website or just an opportunity to air my concerns on this sunny september afternoon, here in oregon.
either way, i'll endeavor to get to the point.. just a quick background for your readers: my wife jill and i left the jw's in 1998 with our 2 teenage children after 17 years of involvement.
I feel badly for Glen and his family but am glad they escaped. Religion = child abuse. The Bible is not a book for children.
One startling experience after we left was the relief my son felt when I told him that we would have gone against WT policy and permit a blood transfusion if needed. That's a cruel notion to hold over a child - I had never thought how he truly felt at the time we made him carry his blood card.
As a teenager, I did not agree with the
WTS 'no blood' policy. I, too, lived in fear that I may need one and be
refused it by my parents. It seemed to me that my concerns were never
considered. My parents never asked me how I felt about this. I think this is typical
in JW families. I did voice my disbelief to my parents about this policy. I told them
that if a blood transfusion was the only way to save a life then that is
what should be done. So they knew how I felt about it. This policy also contradicted their claim that all
people have the chance to be JWs. Not so for anyone requiring blood
products to survive. Logic isn't one of this group's strong points.
Everyone seems to have their different trigger points. While Glen doesn't think he would have put this together, as a teenager I did. I could not fathom why God would kill people such as nurses, doctors, teachers, firemen, farmers, etc... all the people in the world that do things to help and feed others just because they were not a JW. I had done the math on their claim to be preaching to all the inhabitted Earth and I knew that was a farce. I also knew non-JWs who were awesome folks. Again, logic does not work well with the dogma of most religions and WTS is no exception.Sadly, I don't think I would have put 2 and 2 together and see that the God of the JWs had something Evil planned for 99.9% of the whole world's population. I don't think I could have seen then that a God that would kill people the way the terrorists did on a global scale could be Evil. I don't think that I could have seen that the worship of such a God was Evil, that living in a world perpetrated by such a God would be Evil - that Armageddon (per JW lore) would be Evil.
Coded Logic said: I remember the Elders in my hall saying this was just the beginning. And shortly after 9/11 the "Great Beast" would start by getting rid of religious freedom in the US and elsewhere . . . but apparently the UN didn't get the memo. Oh well.
I'm sure no one remembers now.
this just struck me as odd.
if the bible is really god's word, and it's all real, why doesn't jeehoober act more like jesus?
jesus perfectly imitated jeehobo, right?
The god concept evolves. The ancients believed god to be all things, both good and evil, however, this does not hold up to logic when making the claim that he is 'all loving'. So Jesus had to be invented to move to that ideal and also cover off the whole why do we die and why does evil/sin persist? Unfortunately, with the ransom being paid by Jesus' death, another logic fallacy was created.
righto poppickers.
as some of you know, i have been putting together a book of interviews and humour.
it is designed (i hope), soften the blow for those inside the wbt$ who want to escape and also prove to those that have left that they are not alone.. anyway.
Love the cover in the OP.
And lol at fulano!
the past five weeks have been perhaps the most painful in my life as a witness.. some months ago a young man (i'd say in his late thirties or early forties) began attending meetings at my kingdom hall.
he had just moved to my area from another state.
he had disassociated himself from his home congregation many years back, when he was 20 years old and going through many of the typical trials and temptations most young men experience.. two of the elders met with him initially, and they later shared the details with the body of elders.
Watchtower... they shoot their wounded.

Hi Alchemist... first of all, I do like your username. And... if you truly are an alchemist, the JWs are not for you.
Just curious. You said you have been inactive for 8 years. What made you become inactive?
to all of you in the usa i wish you a safe and happy "independence day" and many more of them!.
cheers.
zeb .
Happy 4th of July, Southern neighbours!
