There used to be an animated video up in which an older teen xjws sets fire to the kh and watches them all die as she finds an escape route out of kh. NOW that is one creepy video. I have no idea if it is still up but it was probably before 05. if anyone knows of what I speak, please tell me where it is. I hope this young woman got some counseling.

How many active JW's use this forum as a source of information?
by LogCon inthe numerous comments and experiences from this sites contributing posters add a real flavour to a persons overall knowledge of the society, both present day and historically.
i can well see how even many, many dyed in the wool witnesses skim or even study this site.
if i was still attending and seriously supporting the society, i would be fascinated to read these comments.

Sooner . lol . You know I have seen things like that in other wiki pages. I follow a certain musican and someone edited the page with things a bit more subtle , but as a fan I know they are taking a shot at them.

Girl ,
I went to conventions during 80-90's and was stopped at door and cross examined due to me never having a badge. I was lucky I knew a few people or I may not have gotten in. Maybe it was b/c I was on the local apostate suspect list, who knows, but those guys walking around are capable of taking you out of the convention if need be.

Bob, do you not recall the Boston Olympics ? I do not think most folks are getting over 9/11 anytime soon. Terrorists only have to be right one time , homeland security has to be right 100%. Maybe you did not see folks jumping from the Towers? Or see the pics from Boston?

They are been paranoid about apostates for a long time. In the 90's when I was just barely attending and highly suspected of apostacy I was stoped at the front entrance of the usual place they hold the convention in F*. Wort*. I would not have gotten in if another jws vouched that I was indeed still a jws.
Once someone called in a bomb theat at that same place. ( heard about it from an elder I knew) I notice they did not tell anyone and let us decide if we would like to leave. I still remember that. Please, let me decide if the bomb threat is real or not. Imagine if the place had blown to kingdom come?

For those who feel that their life has been stolen
by stillin inyou maintained a level of personal decency and integrity that you almost certainly would not have had if you had chosen another direction.. sure, you would have had some very "colorful" friends and experiences if you had gone another way, but you still chose the more "edgy" people in the congregation as your friends and you still enjoyed yourself, even if there were a lot of phony constraints.. you looked for ways to be of value to others.
don't stop doing that!.
you kept the darker side of your personality in check.

I have noticed that when you get a card or letter and it says agape-- they really mean:
we judge you to not be worthy but we can't prove it and so we are keeping our bases covered. We really don't Christ blood covers yours sins( and we are sure there must be some, we just know what they are).
So, Agape. Might as well say FU for all it really means. anyone who reallly cares about you says, Love.

One thing I have noticed about growing up a JW is that they are absolutely not racist in any way. Or at least, that was my experience. After leaving, I was quite surprised to find out how racist some of the world still is.
I guess it might have depended on where you lived and also i found the racism to be subtle, just like the classism.
