  some time ago, i was finally sick and tired of being sick and tired, so i quit drinking.

  i have 27 months without a drop and things are much much better.

  i started to slack off on the meetings and my excuse was always, i'm better so the gap between meetings isn't as big a deal.

  i'm sorry that you had to endure the pain you did.

  regardless if you believe in god or not, what you were going through was sheer hell.. i'll keep this short, i won't eulogize you too long, 'cause i can kind of detect that you'd hate that.

  Stop fighting about Oompa.

  i am writing this because i am so upset about the bickering and fighting that is going on about oompa.

  this was an amazing wonderful, peaceful, giving man who never met a strager who is now deceased and you are taking his name and running all over the place with it using it for your own agendas.

  he is not a statistic.

  i am writing this because i am so upset about the bickering and fighting that is going on about oompa.

  this was an amazing wonderful, peaceful, giving man who never met a strager who is now deceased and you are taking his name and running all over the place with it using it for your own agendas.

  i didn't know eric particularly well, and i feel terrible that i didn't reach out to him more or try to help him while i still had the opportunity.. i feel extremely helpless, but the least i can do is help others remember him who knew him better.. here is a video i've uploaded to youtube in his honor.... .

  I think Eric would have been very happy for someone like aguest to take up the fight against the WTS on his account and to focus on bringing their cruelty to the fore.

  I just agree with Chappy (also because of private conversations I'm having with others too) that statements about what is "honoring" or "dishonoring" Eric, should be set aside for now.

  Palmie, the decisions I was referring to are those you make for yourself and how you choose to remember Eric, and also how you choose to integrate this tragedy into your life. Let no one else tell you what is brave, or cowardly, or right. You know how you need to fit this in so you can move on.

  Yes, like Stacey said, I'm trying not to focus on the sad parts of his life. Just remembering the fun and funny things......the times when he was happy and laughing.

  You know what you know, and that's all that is important.

  Yes.

  The decisions you make will be the right decisions. Ignore the rest.

  I prefer to leave those decisions to those who knew him best. I'll follow their advice as to best ways to contact, etc.

  This is the truth and I will say it, even if no one else will. So, please, dissenters, keep in mind... I neither need nor want your approval: truth... is truth... and if you need it watered-down or colored as something else, you won't get that from me. Look elsewhere, which is easy enough as there are plenty who will do that for you. I won't.

  Please keep in mind that for some who were close to Eric, the pain, shock and grief may be too much right now to think about anything else.

  It may not be that they "dissent" and want it "watered down". Maybe some just need more time to process what has happened. It would be unfair to catogorise them as cowards right now.
