  he has a severe case of cellulites which has affected his neck glands.

  If you don't welcome snarky comments or opposite opinions, then the internet is probably not the best place to post. Disable the comments capability if it causes you to be upset. You are speaking to the WORLD---and it only takes a few people in the entire world to express some negative views to set a tone. It's a tough gig, but that's what it is.

  Yup. My hubby put a survey on facebook some years ago (when you could do such a thing) about his passion - Canadian football, the CFL. He was inundated by nasty, swearing American NFL fans telling him to F**K OFF! etc.....etc.....etc....He took it down and never did another one.

  And also don't dismiss the idea of trolls. Some people simply like to stir up emotions, and it reallhy doesn't matter what the issue is. They get a kick out of it.

  Haven't we had our share of that here?

  so as not to hijack the "male dog gets nueticles" thread, i have always wondered why vets simply don't give male dogs vascetamies like male humans.

  i mean, they don't cut a guys balls off so why do they cut them off of a dog or cat?

  that way, they could still retain their normal pleasures but not have puppies/kittens.

  James is right. And it's more than just curbing aggressive behaviour.

  My dog was rescued from an abusive home when he was 5 yrs old and was never neutered. We adopted him and now he is about 6 1/2 yrs old.

  When I took him to the vet after we got him, I asked about neutering and the vet said it wouldn't help much, since he was older and his personality is pretty much set now.

  He isn't aggressive, but neither is he cuddly. He mostly just likes to be left alone. He tolerates my giving him affection, but he rarely wants attention or affection from us. He is often defiant. We call him and he ignores. We give him food and if he wants something different, he will just refuse to eat it.

  rule #1: give others the benefit of the doubt.. maybe this person has made the outrageous generalization isn't really insensitive.

  maybe this person has had a painful experience that made them overreact.. .

  rule #2: when disagreeing with someone, always take resonsibility for our own feelings.

  If your conscience allows you to research the flip-flopping doctrines, please also consider the human cost of those flip-flops.

  One member here lost his mother because a certain organ transplant was not allowed, only to find out a few months after her death that the transplant was now allowed! Imagine that family's pain.

  Imagine the women who were disfellowshipped after being raped, because of the flip-flopping doctrine on that subject.

  It's not just the flip-flopping, dear.

  It's the effect it has on actual people's lives.
