Well, if you buy into the whole Genesis thing, no he didn't. All he proved was that he can't prove a point without fighting dirty.

Did Jehovah really prove his sovreignty?
by keyser soze inbefore the issue of sovreignty came up between god and satan, humans were in a perfect state.
then adam and eve sinned, and satan challenged god's right to rule.
god took satan up, and allowed humans a chance to prove that they could govern themselves, independent from him.. but first he inflicted them with sickness, death and imperfection.

What proof is there that Jesus chose the Bible Students in 1919?
by VM44 inwhat proof is there that jesus inspected all the religions or the earth in 1919 and then chose the bible students?.
just because the watchtower says in its literature that they were chosen is not proof!.

If pressed, I think Splane would cite 1914 as the end of the gentile times - meaning Jesus would have to be out looking for some organization to represent him on earth.
So in other words, Jesus was out shopping for a Publicist???

Water Canopy? Huh?
by Mr. Falcon in*** w80 11/15 p. 23 par.
4 jehovah of armies to the rescue!
the fact that today we do not have a vast water canopy suspended high up in space and all around our globe and thus blocking direct sunlight, moonlight and starlight is because jehovah saw what was going on down here upon his terrestrial footstool and took action.

LMAO @ Falcon... fitting image, but I think he was scratching his ass... it must've been mighty itchy after pulling all those theories out of it lol.

Forgive this stupid question, but I've never really understood just what the devil JWs are talking about when they discuss the creative "days". What exactly is the official JW stand on this? Do they believe in 6 literal days or what? I was raised a JW and I have no idea. Scary.
Just another cut-and-paste doctrine that suits their agenda. They take the Genesis account and then they take a scripture from the NT (2 Peter 3:8) to say that a day could have meant a thousand years and so the 7 creative days were "evidently" 7, 000 years. However, the "day as a thousand years" gets shot to hell when they have to describe the prophecy that leads them to 1914...then it's "a day for a year". So, was it 7 days? 7 years? or 7,000 years?
Probably more like 7 million

I always love how people with practically no education think they can hold their own when debating scientific beliefs. Like what they read in that awful blue creation book is more convincing and accurate than all the scientific books on the freaking planet.
You mean the one that talks about the aforementioned wooly mammoths? That's an awful book? Say it isn't so! Actually, I just trashed my copy yesterday, along with some others lol.
I know for a FACT that I cannot hold my own when debating science. I LOVE science...but I'm not of the mind to debate it. I like skimming over different facts and formulating conclusions as to what I believe. My friend's mom gave me a couple of videos from young-earth Creationists MONTHS ago, and I haven't watched them yet...the speaker has already been discredited by the scientific community and by experiments that completely turn his theories on their ear. I want to watch just to say I did, but I'm an Evolutionist and I'm not going to come out of the experience with a heavenly glow (perhaps a beard of white from the length and the sheer boredom...) and shout that Christ is Lord and I'm converted. I know that's what she wants, but from all I've researched on the bible and science, I just cannot reconcile any of it. None of it fits together... I'd have to do what the WTBS does and saw off the ends of some puzzle pieces and MAKE them fit. And that wouldn't be being honest with myself. Like you, I respect when someone does research to try to prove their point and actually LEARNS the subject they are debating. But I have no respect when someone pulls an answer out of their ass and holds it up to the masses and proclaims "THIS is the Truth!!"

While bloodless surgery is beneficial in SOME cases (such as when a transfusion isn't really needed but is given anyway, which I think happens rarely these day with the shortage of blood available...anyway...), there are many more cases where it is medically necessary. The car crash victim for whom volume expanders will do nothing much, the mother who ruptures during labor and needs an emergeny c-section but is in danger of bleeding to death, etc. You can't say that blood is never medically necessary. And to say that the bible says we can't take blood intravenously is a gross misrepresentation of scripture.
I despise the illustration they use of the alcoholic whose doctor tells him to abstain from alcohol. "Would that mean he could take it intravenously?"... Let's see... apples and oranges anyone? Anyone?? Alcohol will NOT preserve your life (it'll pickle you pretty good, but not PRESERVE you). Abstaining from it may if you make it a habit to guzzle a 24 pack every 24 hours. Blood has been PROVEN to preserve lives and abstaining from it in a lot of cases has been PROVEN to cost lives. It's not like people are bellying up to the bar in their local lab and asking for a pint. They aren't consuming it or EATING it, as is prohibited in the scriptures. And, if you wanna get technical, the JW who orders his or her steak medium rare is just as guilty of flouting their prohibition on blood as the person who takes a transfusion...maybe moreso because they go DIRECTLY against the bible's command to NOT EAT BLOOD. Unless they slaughter the animal themselves, they can't be sure that all the blood that could possibly be drained was in fact drained. And the "juices" (as my dad puts it) still contain blood cells, whether they are cooked or not, they are still blood.
Faithful in little, faithful in much... You can't perport to "abstain from blood" and yet still eat meat lol. Unless we're just not gonna nitpick that... But yet it's fine for them to nitpick with the fractions and say "this is okay, but that isn't". It's all a bunch of confused convoluted circular reasoning. Glad I'm out of it and tore up my "Please kill me by not giving me blood" card.

.... yet we bash customs such as Santa Claus because he's a "silly myth". Yet I know now Santa Claus is NOT true, because if he was how could he fly his sleigh through the water canopy?
Or even worse, the pressure exerted on his body from the sheer speed of his sleigh COMBINED with the atmospheric pressure from the water canopy would cause him to not only spontaneously combust, but also implode at the same time! I bet if that happened it would rain toasted marshmallows...forget a global flood, break out the graham crackers and Hershey bars!

Morbidz, as usual, your logic rocks me. Like a hurricane.
LMAO glad to be of service.
I can understand your shock at all this. I had the same reaction. Kind of a "What the fuuuuuu....?". With every new thing you learn, with every layer that is peeled back, you start to wonder more and more if ANYTHING you believed was true. This is where the line gets drawn. When you really start researching for yourself and decide what is true FOR YOU based on facts that you uncover FOR YOURSELF. It's scary at first... but I've found something incredible about myself through all of this. My BF told me he thinks I have a bit of ADD because of all the things I research. But after thinking about it, I realized that what seems like ADD to him is actually my brain thirsting for REAL KNOWLEDGE because it's been a Sahara my entire life. Bone dry, with a "brainstorm" resembling a desert sandstorm just kicking up the old ideas and theolgies I was raised with. So now I'm absorbing every drop of knowledge in the vast oasis of ideas the world has to offer. And I'm loving it! You will too!
