more of the latest from the june 15th " witness only " watchtower.

under the article " the faithful steward and it's governing body " there were some very telling quotes which could indicate how the wt society is tightening the control of it's members - and trying to justify more partaking of the emblems at the memorial since the numbers partaking have gone up from about 8,000 to 10,000 since they no longer feel that the sealing of the anointed ended in 1935.. so first off, notice this quote indicating the importance of elevating the governing body over the rest of the anointed around the earth.

paragraph 16 it states , " are all these anointed ones throughout the earth part of a global network that is somehow involved in revealing new spiritual truths ?

No matter what tune they play, the membership will dance to it.

This is the obvious sign of cult behaviour. Because they've made this claim to have been established / or appointed by God, this is why they have the "right to command their followers , and this is why the followers 'obey' because they truly believe they have this God given authority. They know that when they put something in the watchtower it will not be questioned...but blindly adhered to without question.

So then, Gods word is not the final authority, but their word is the final authority. What power they have ! The membership truly feel they are making the choice in complying and agreeing with everything they teach, but what they don't realize is that if they stopped "playing the music" they wouldn't even be walk on their own strength. The org. has the music playing continually, just sometimes they turn it up a bit louder.

They wont be able to deflect it back by asking "yeah, but how old is the article ?" I think the fact its about 5 minutes old, means it steps out way in front of any other article they may want to refer BACK to. This is CURRENT information from the SLAVE.....the Channel / mouthpiece of God.

I think the view of women in the org. is definitely bordering on a chauvenistic one.

Women, in the literature are always portrayed in submissive and stereotyped roles. The "paradise pictures" in the books and leaflets show the women gathering fruit, carrying bread and fruit or setting the table with bread and fruit..(.cause that's all we're gonna eat in the paradise). They are also shown looking after the children, and staring adoringly at their husbands . Their outward appearance is always that of perfection, never a hair out of place, always a wide smile, and always wearing feminine and conservative clothes........never trousers! I have never seen a JW woman or small girl being presented in the literature wearing trousers, not even in the drawings or paintings. It's always dresses or skirts and always below the knees......waaaay below the knees.

In some ways it kind of freaks me out. It's like 'Little House On The Prairie' meets the 'Stepford Wives'.

The sisters are definitely kept in their place in the organiszation, and as oompah pointed out they are never used to carry out even mundane jobs in the hall like doing the mics. Seems like its being put across loud and clear that the sisters will be needed to make the tea and cakes in the paradise so that the men can get on with all the important manual and intellectual work of restoring the earth. What they don't know is that if they left it to the women they would get double the work done in half the time....No problem !
