My son was murdered today
by truman ini have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.

Visit from anointed
by wezz inso tonight i get to be graced by the presence of one of the anointed.
last time he visited to help me i told him that i have a problem with the 1914 date.
now obviously every single aspect of this date is wrong, but i started off by asking how come they end it in 537 instead of 539, when the king of babylon obviously received his punishment in 539, as foretold by jeremiah.

If he is a real anointed , he should believe Jesus Christ words !
There is no place for such interpretations and calculations which leads toward years like 1914, 1918, 1925, 1975 ... in Bible .
--- After studying the Bible I came to see/realize that God have ever known that He wrote regarding ancient events in an “hidden way”( Proverbs 25:2 ),
and so, He didn’t command to his worshipers to find the real/exact chronological data of events of human history (or about its empires and states from Adam until today)
in case He would command this , knowing how difficult is to come to a conclusion in chronology and how much time it requires , then God’s worshipers would be called “historians” not “Christians”Please have the courage to present to him this material.
and if possible also this one .

The year 607 BCE was very correct !
It has been a real year in the earth's history , preceded by 608 BCE and followed by 606 BCE !
But the truth is , this year (607) is of no value for Christians , at all !
Why ?
Because it is no part of any Biblical prophecy regarding our time .
The interpretations which implied that year are absolutely non based upon the "teaching of Christ" , and therefore they are not from God !

by 00DAD ini was thinking it would be informative and fun to start a thread comparing the jesus of wt theology with what can be factually stated about the historical jesus of scripture.
in particular, how jw doctrines misrepresent the christ in both what they do teach about his as well as what they do not teach.
i know, there's lots to debate about who and what is the real, historical jesus, but at least try to stay on topic (the comparison) and let's not get all "born again" on me!

hoping to get your input.. i had a conversation with my dh recently and i asked him what would need to happen for him to question his belief system.
he said that something unscripted needs to be taught by the society.. now there are many things i can bring up...i have heard you suggest not to argue with doctrine...but he is asking for it.

that's right , we - fleshly humans - doesn't find God true / But God sure is TRUE
He is the OWNER of entire His creation
He is NOT the begining of the "badness" but He is in his right to take a stand against everything is bad , wicked and injust.
So the answer for your question is : YES, God does care for us !
