I drew all over the mags, the bible, the books, etc. I had doodles, notes, markings, etc. all over. My mom gave me my old books and I was shocked at how much I drew (hearts, notes, every doodle and names of bands).

How do you cope with boredom at meetings?
by MMXIV inwhat did/do you use to cope with boredom at the meetings?.
as sad as this sounds, when i was a kid and desperate for anything to do at a meeting, i used to count the punctuation in each wt study article.
i had a system.

Once a cheater, always a cheater
by Quillsky inif you discover, while getting to know a potential partner, that they have cheated on a previous partner........ don't touch them.
run run run.. in my opinion a cheat remains a cheat.
opportunity is the variable.. please discuss..

Past behavior is a good predictor of future behavior.
If someone cheats (has an affair) on their spouse, who they promised to be faithful to, and they get away with it, what are the chances they will not do it again?
I do think it depends on their personality and their circumstances.
I would bet that they would do it again. This is true for men or women. It might not be immediate, however, I believe that given the right set of circumstances they will do it-eventually.

Moral Question ...
by sacolton inwould you use the handicap stall that is big and roomy ... even if other smaller stalls were available?.
-

Which brings this back to my question(s).
Why is this a moral question?
Is this a law that "only" handicapped people can use those?
What about hidden disabilities? Do those count?
So, if I limp can I use it?
What about the stall with the baby changing table?
Sometimes that and the handicapped stall are the same-who gets it first? The lady in the walker or the lady with the kid with a loaded diaper?
I will add:
Who is going to be the Handicapped Toilet Police and start ticketing people for using the handicapped stall?
Or, will we have to ask Obama for a new Handicapped Toilet Stall Union for that?
I have a few posters in mind who would be perfect candidates for Union Reps.

You all need to go to a Walmart and just hang out in the parking lot and observe the people going in. Since I am forced to go there to shop I see it on a weekly basis. My eyes bleed.
You will see some fugly people. Both men and women who are together with some of the fugliest kids you have ever seen. (I know, everyone thinks *their* kids are the cutiest ever. NOT)
Anyway, you have to wonder, why in the name of god would he or she EVER get naked with *that*? Seriously.
Some people are so unbelieveably ugly it is just a wonder anyone would. And, they make no effort to clean themselves up in any way, shape or form.
Yet, there seems to be mate out there for everyone based upon my observation. No matter how ugly you are.

Disfellowshipped People Are A Bad Lot
by garyneal ina week prior to my wife being baptized she and i discussed the reasons why people are disfellowshipped.
she says that people are disfellowshipped because they simply want to live their lives the way they want to and no longer submit to god's will.
in other words, they want to do something that is immoral and goes against bible principles.

Hi babygirl! I hope you are OK.
The addiction thing affected my dad so it bugs me that they use this as a way to *judge* people and kick them out and when they are down.
Using the language of "submitting to God's Will" and *doing something that goes against bible principals* also is ridiculous.
Simple programming that can be looked at with a clear head by us, now, yet when you try to point it out to a JW, they act like you are Satan.

Smoking.
People are routinely DFd for smoking. My Dad for instance. He wanted to be DFd; he went outside the KH, lit one up and waited for someone to see him. However, how is taking tobacco (a natural growing plant, paper, and chemicals) and lighting it immoral and going against Bible Principles? How is this not submitting to God's Will?
Seriously, this is one of the most Fucked up reasons to DF someone.
Getting Drunk.
Again, wine has been around forever. At least as long as grapes have been harvested and someone figured out that the grape juice that they thought went bad was really, really good.
So, you drink too much fermented grape juice and you get tipsy.
Suddenly you are not *Submitting to God's Will*.
Again, I gotta say, this is too fucked up for words.
If someone is a raging alcoholic, they need help not being kicked out from their support network of friends and family. Make sense?
Only the Cult of Watchtower would kick someone with an addiction and say "You swarmy bastard, you drink, get out. You might....do something we don't like. Oh, and like all those bible characters who got drunk, you're not submitting to God's Will. You're DFd."
