I lost the right to raise my JW kid........

actually he is hardly a kid anymore.....and is in bethel dammit!..........but why is it that when i was a good jw account servant i could guide, influence, direct him... totally... in all religious matters......which of course is why he believes what he believes and is at bethel (damm i was good huh!

) but now that i am faded and a vocal apostate (not dfd but called apostate behind my back) i am supposed to shut up and not share any of my new found real truths with him?.

my ex-wife hardass jw just gave me grief for this, my hardass current jw wife just gave me grief for this, my elder/dad gave me grief for this....and even my bethel son gave me grief for this....ya know i think jesus said you should not put your bright light under a basket!....but they all tell me to.

Seriously though.....sorry about your pain. It's so hard. It's hard to understand.

If those in Jonestown drank the poisoned Kool-Aid AND force fed it to their children KNOWING it would kill them, I guess it's not a real stretch of imagination that JW's don't want to know the truth(wow was that an oxymoron?) They take comfort in it. It makes sense of this world to them. Maybe ignorance is bliss? If they acknowledge that the organization is wrong then it rocks their whole world. Everything they know and believe is now a lie. A lot of people can't take that stress. They'd rather be in ignorance. It's almost like they're institutionalized. Like a prison inmate who's been in so long they can't function on the outside in the real world. They do anything they can to go back. Maybe it's the structure. Maybe it's having your thinking done for you. That's one reason active JW's are so afraid of those of us who know the research and what's really going on.

WHY don't Americans realize GUNS are destroying their country?

usa today everyone has a gun, why?.....to protect themselves...from who?

other folks with guns!.....yes it's in your laws...but they were written when the british ruled you.

one school gun killing every week does not happen anywhere else in the world....maybe you need more guns to protect your kids.....one in the lunchbox.....does anyone else see this.

Have you even looked at the issues in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek? Gun violence is very prevalent there! So I wouldn't say it's uncommon in SW Michigan.

And Reniaa? We do live in a violent society. SO....I will take steps to PROTECT myself. I'm not going to depend on Law Enforcement to get there in time!!! And when sheep like you are baaaa-ing in panic you'll be HAPPY to see the Sheepdogs that you disdain for having guns show up to save your ass!!!

#1 to visit ireland.

#2 go to the kentucky derby....with good seats, not the infield.. i have others but they are less important..

Visit and work at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanah, Utah.

Have many more vacations on the coast of North Carolina.

Do some eco-vacations such as studying the wolves of the Upper Penisula of Michigan, or turtles on the coast of New Jersey.

Have tons of sex.

Take a train across the country or drive it. The Rockies are magnificent!!!!!

Swim with wild dolphins.

fills his mailbox with cement one night.. that night, a kid swings at the box, breaks his shoulder, the bat shatters.

Awwww Hill I'm so sorry about your family. I had a dear friend murdered in the line of duty May 9, 2005. And another friend killed 3 weeks ago in the line of duty.

Right.....but it's a 1+1 theory. Does defense of a mailbox warrant a death? I didn't say I didn't like the idea only that I didn't think mailbox destruction deserved death.

I could be wrong but I think Michigan just passed or is in the process of passing a law that says you don't have to retreat. I'll have to research that.

And while I like the idea of cement in the mailbox no one deserves to die for that kind of stupidity.

I do know that traps are illegal in most places. More because they may harm the innocent. Postal workers, utilities etc that have a legitimate reason to be on your property.

As far as property, all states have different laws. With force at least here in Michigan, you have to a fear for your safety. That's the big one...."I was in fear for my life"......words to LIVE by....

With the response time that the Deputies have in my area, it'll be over by the time they get there. I'll shoot the piece of trash coming into MY HOME TO HURT ME AND MINE. I maybe a tad mistaken but I do believe it's somewhat difficult to dial the phone when someone is shooting/stabbing/bludeoning you to death.

Of course you can always try to reason with someone who's high on meth, crack or coming off the high and needing more. They are always willing to listen to reason. Meth heads are some of the most reasonable people I know.
