Your employer is using unethical emotional blackmail to meet his own ends. After TEN YEARS he should be thanking you for EVERYTHING you have done, not trying to bleed you dry. This is business, not personal, do not allow him to exert that kind of control over you.

Who is the god of the J.W.?
by Aculama inthis one is mostly for those who believe in god ( though i don't wish to exclude any interested ).
it is my belief that the j.w.
organization painted a false picture of who god is by means of false doctrine, misinterpretation of scripture, and false prophesy.

Of course the agnostic speaks up! Who is the God of any Christian faith? If you read the OT, God is vindictive, petty and judgemental, and supports the smiting of anyone who irritates him. This contrasts with the God of the NT whom Jesus speaks of as "Abba", kind and loving...

Is it the JW's or the God of the bible you no longer believe?
by reniaa ini have a question for the ex-jw's on this forum after months of reading the forum..... many say how good it is to be free of the oppressiveness of the jw's that they can now enjoy the freedom to... have sex, celebrate christmas, gamble, embrace politics etc.
there are still biblical scriptures and principles in place that if you still followed the bible would mean you avoid these things and yet these are now embraced as one of the perks of no longer being a jw so in my confusion i ask.... if these are what you want, isn't it more correct to say you no longer follow the bible as apposed to just the jw's?.

Hi there Reniaa, you said:
but I still think it's the best that is on offer doctrinely
If that's the case, then why not forgo organized religion as a whole?
That's not intended to be disrespectful, but I personally don't see the point in organized religion, especially when it is so flawed.

What's in a Name? ARMAGH
by cameo-d inarmagh...... according to irish mythology armagh was once the capital of ulster until it was abandoned in the 1st century ce.
the site was named after the goddess macha, and as the settlement grew on the hills* nearby it was also named after the goddess.
ard macha means "the height of macha".

I need to rephrase things... Armagh is a small town in the North of Ireland, nothing more... Other than the St. Patrick connection (which BTW is all over holy Ireland) it is known for being the scene of violence during the troubles. There is nothing holy about Armagh, and there is no connection between it and the fictional Armageddon; if you have ever experienced the troubles in Ireland, you would see first hand the result of religious divisions.

Hi CoCo... Most definitely I've dealt with all of the above. Although I rationalise it and say that it's their loss, ultimately it has resulted in my having very low self-esteem.

So it's over. Again.
by faundy inthree years ago i told a close friend in australia that i was gay.
as a witness, she cut me off.
i wasn't surprised.

Dawg, I get where you are coming from, but I tried the whole anger straight out thing with a witness friend and now he thinks that I'm a crazy, obsessed nut... From that I learned that maybe the subtle approach is better. If someone comes across as angry, it's a lot easier to "write them off" than if they come across as loving... At least that's my current thought process... It could change, I reserve the right to change my opinion without notice!

Three unique things...
by TJ - iAmCleared2Land ini like this topic!
1. i went to an amusement park with friends when i was 17, when getting ready to go on the bumper boats the attendant told me to not step on the rubber part... listening wasn't my strong suite so i stepped on the rubber part and fell in much to the amusement of everyone there.
2. for my 18th birthday my friends took me to see male strippers, my friend held money over my head and when the guy came to collect i refused to put it in his g-string and he called me a prude.

3. I volunteered at a children's hospital... Once, I dressed up in a mascot's outfit and visited the kids... I couldn't see very well and kept bumping into walls... The kids thought it was funny, I honestly wasn't doing it on purpose! LOL
