when i was a kid and on vacation in florida about 20 years ago, my dad had mentioned about an "apostate group" in florida and that it was called "jehovah's christian witnesses" supposedly they even had their own kingdom halls, how many others here are aware of this group and do they even exist still?

here you have it: jehovah's prophets foretold radio centuries ago!
(i wonder which scripture?
perhaps "tell-a-vision to no man"????).
with it's tubes made of different minerials etc.
The tubes at that time were missing modern barium oxide cathode and graphite anode. Those old vacuum tubes did consist of mainly metal and glass. Minerals were used in early detectors with "cat whisker" but not with tubes.

i am about to start wiring my house for home theater speakers and i'm wondering what type of jack i should install in the wall behind the tv.
i've noticed all sorts of speaker jacks that are available and i have no idea which ones i should use..

In any Home Theatre system, it is a question of the weakest link. If you have all the high end equipment in the world and have one weak component; all else is immediately cast down to that level of the lowest common denominator.
In this very case the weakest link is loudspeakers, efficiency factor in order of 2...4 %. I am anxious to meet a person who can (by ear) for example differ standard and oxygen free copper cabling.
it was made by a women who in later years wore crotchless panties and bras which had holes in the nipple areas.
he not only knew the woman in question (she's now deceased), he has met her numerous times.
up until recently this secret of her year's long sexual affair with rutherford was kept by the family.

I cannot find the reference, but the quote was published. Does anyone here recall that Covington quote? and where was it published?
My best bet is that at least it is mentioned in Penton's AD.

from time to time we like to share some good reads with each other on jwd, and now might be a good time to share with you what i'm reading this week.
it's "the gate" by francois bizot which tells of his experiences as the only western prisoner to survive the khmer rouge in cambodia.
in 1971, on a routine outing through the cambodian countryside, the young french ethnologist francois bizot is captured by the khmer rouge.
Can you give us a translation?

there's a lively debate going on about expressions re: chronology on the finnish h2o.
now, what expressions does the original english watchtower use about time before and after jesus' birth?
they avoid to use "christ".. so, what expressions do they use in watchtower?
>>Hej jag vet att man borde prata engelska här men så kan man också snacka vadän man vill troligen...
Helre finska jos minulta kysytään
>>and come to....
I am still a registered user of H2O but find it extremely impossible to input anything as long as this aftermath of konginkangasuhrihässäkkä is still hovering over my head.

Moi taas >>I know that you know a lot of the Wittness history. Sheer fallacy, just pretending >> What was the reason to change those abbrevitations? Did JW theology become particularly more Jesus-denying during those years? I recall reading a pre-sixties article in Watctower where this CE-definition was connected to jews and to their stand as to avoid recognition of Jesus. As far as I remember there was no actual explanation by the time this change took place and for some time they used CE and AD concurrently. One reason that I could think of is that BC is not accurate as long as Jesus's birth is supposed to take place before this period named Before Christ had come to an end.
