I finally said it...I don't like jw's
by kzjw ini'm vacation and watched as my wife headed out for her piosneering this past monday...i was pissed, because i'm here, but she'd rather be out there, hawking the wares of the borg as a non-paid employee.
i stewed in the house for 3-4 hours, angry that i took vows with this woman, but she essentially is forsaking those vows for her "friends", when she knows i don't care for it.
well the tolerance finally wore off!

Strange Phenomenom's? How do we explain them if one is agnostic?
by QuestioningEverything inthis has me very confused.
if someone is agnostic or leaning strongly that way, how can the fact that people claim to be haunted by ghosts, spirits, say they can talk to the dead, are possessed by evil spirits, etc be reconciled to make sense?

I just got my hands on a copy of the new Tract!
by lovelylil inso my hubby went to work this morning and i told him about the new tract campaign and told him to be on the look out for it.
he takes the train in to boston and he told me in the past that there is an elderly man who hands out literature.
so i tell him, keep your eyes open for him so you can get me a copy of the tract.. this morning sure enough, he goes to the train station and here is the eldery man holding up the tract.

Okay - how to translate the AWFUL greek of Revelation.

unfortunately modern translations iron everything out and make it sound perfectly cogent.
by correcting the grammar en route to the target language, the scholars are actually hiding the real text, and so prevent us from realising that it could have been written by a wing nut.. are there any places where the use of the language is so bad, that if we translated honestly we might get:.

to start at the beginning, periodically, these ladies have called and spoken to mrs thirdson but always on a week day.
mrs thirdson is always very polite and has accepted the mags saying that i might be interested in reading them but making it clear that we are christians and not interested in joining their religion.
