  are westerners the evil of the world?.

  western lands have gleefully exploited the worlds resources over the past 200 years.most of us have taken advatage of what our economies have offered to us.but has and does our life style not only ruin the earth but ensures that other countries remain pour.. the goods we demand and are used to having ,have a cost to the environment .we want them cheap , this ensures low wages where big western companies can get cheap labour.the size and power of western business means that pourer countries cant grow economically.the big western business are so powerful that they earn more money than entire countries.. suvival of the fittest has taken its toll on mankind while we live in comfort the majority of earth inhabitants don't.how much is our fault?

  Holier than thou, seems to be running its course.

  The U.S.A does plenty of shitty things to plenty of other countries. Why is that? I don't see any other countries in the world trying to help as many people as we do. When you pay out Billions to help others sometimes you have to step on people to get things done. I do think it is arrogant to assume that the American way should be everyones way though. Some things work for some countries and others don't.

  As far as enviromental concerns. We have the ability to set the example for the rest of the world to follow but we don't. I don't have an answer for that problem though. I do think Bush is stupid for spending taxpayers money for another (read:something that tells him what he wants to hear) study to decide if Global warming is real.

  I don't think it can be legally defined as a War but all he has to do is call it something else. Reagan didn't have Congressional approval for the Panama action. Bush could pull the same thing just on a bigger scale.

  The common misconseption within the Bush robot ranks is that if you don't agree with him you must love Clinton. I think the last decent president in this country was Reagan. Clinton did some good for domestic economics but he was a disgrace with foreign affairs and an all around shitty person. I think conservatives have been sooo desperate for soo long for a Republican president they'll follow Bush into a pit of snakes and deny it's dangerous the entire time.

  Thank God some of the 'sleepers' are waking up.

  I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean maybe you're just a Dune fan.

  Is that opposed to the Muslim 'hot' terriorist war mentaility we're now facing.

  That is half of the equation. It is our aged policies that got us into this crap in the first place. Personally, I would love to just take the middle east and split it up between the U.S., Russia, and China. It is easy to point fingers at fanatics when they are on the other side of the fence, it is much harder to point a finger at the fanatics in your own back yard.

  We do agree that Political Correctness is very, very bad for this country. At least we see eye to eye on something.

  My friend is a beta tester for AC2 and he says it is pretty awesome. As far as FPS, quake and UT kind of bore me regardless of how pretty they are. I need some kind of story going or team coop.

  As much I think Bush is very dangerous for this country this article is nothing new really. There are plenty of ways to wage war without the approval of Congress. As long as the leaders of this country hold onto their christian cold war mentality we will continue to be in danger.

  some of the poor girls were taken right from their beds.

  do you think there is more of this happening, or that it is just being reported now?

  Since my daughter was born I've been militant about protecting her. At the same time I'm worried I might be overprotective but that's too bad. My wife is the one who works while I stay home and I don't think I could handle it if anything happened to my daughter.

  Actually, according to MSNBC child abductions are over half of what they were 10 years ago. The only difference is that it is being more publicized now than before. It's good news but even one abduction is far too much.

  just wondering - new game out, developed by the us army.

  it's based on the unreal tournament 2003 engine, so it looks pretty good.

  decent gameplay, a lot of innovative features for shooters.. best of all, it's free.. wondering if anyone else has taken a shot at it yet?

  I'm finally online (yeah it was a gamma problem) and beside the horrible pings and constantly full servers I'm having fun. In one awesome match I threw a grenade from a second story window, skipped it across the ground, through a doorway and blew up two enemy at once. Satisfaction.
