Your feelings for the former travelling overseers
by Hecce induring our wt life we met a good number of friends involved in the circuit and district work.
i am sure that we share the same experience and that we remember fondly some that we caring, loving and generally interested in the brothers.
at the same time we might remember others that were arrogant, selfish, abusive and oppressive.

The Evolution of the Awake's Back Cover
by ILoveTTATT2 ini don't think anyone's actually considered this, but a post in the extj.com forum made me think about the many changes (not just one) on the back cover of the awake!

Finding love as a witness
by RawrSaysTheLion inhi i'm new.. i'm going on 2yrs as a baptized witness although i've just received a reproval on the grounds of living with a wordly man unmarried for 6 months.
long story short it ended messy and i ran straight back to the witnesses because i do love jehovah and i missed my family.
my issues were only with the actual organization.. i desperately want to find someone to share my world with but i feel like i'm too tainted to be loved by anyone worthy in the truth and my morals are to high to love another boy from the world.

" I do love jeehovah"
even as a jw I found it very difficult to love a malevolent malicious, spiteful, evil minded, poisonous, perverted , bloodthirsty, malignant, vengeful,so called god, I'm sorry mam but IMO you truly do have the morals of an alley cat and I see you remaining single for some time with an attitude like that, thats why I Ieft jehovah, organization and all. Get back with your so called "worldly" guy and dump all the ridiculous expectations and conditions and live your life the way you want to live it FFS.

Dan Sydlik
by done4good inmorning warship - he was the only restraint and i'm not saying that lightly.
i know there are a dozen others here who were in bethel back in the early 2000's who know what i'm talking about.
he actually kept me thinking this was jehovah's org because of his sincerity as if the holy spirit was operating in him.

they all went to their graves blood guilty, compliant in endemic child abuse that was covered up during their reigns, and contributed or stayed silent to such dreadful life changing policies the amount of insufferable pain and misery millions have endured words cant really convey. -

TheNew World Society in Action....
by Lostandfound inback in the early 60s the phrase .
"the new world society..." was used a lot to promote assemblies and even congregations.
of course no new world has come but that saying appears to have been quietly buried along with any hope of a new world..

interesting that they seemed to drop these types of jargon, as extreme in cult speak as you can possibly go, more egg on their faces though, new system, new world order, new world, theocracy, kingdom rule etc etc, oh how they would cling onto this madness. -

The Kingdom Message
by truth doubter inregarding the unique preaching of the kingdom by wt (new creation, heavenly kings, priests and judges, restoration of paradise on earth etc.).
the scriptures seem to back up wts interpretation.
so, although there are a million reasons to become inactive, how can our conscience allow us not to become active in the work described at matt.

because the entire bible is a fraud, a scam, jesus christ (lower case on purpose) was a false prophet who duped and lied to his followers, everything from being born from a virgin birth, to raising the dead, healing the sick, feeding masses of people and performing other so called miracles is a lie and a fraud and therefore any sort of scriptural commands (none of which is original) should be treated with the contempt it deserves, my conscience allows me to do this very easily and so should yours, dont worry too much about a non event. There is no kingdom, no good news, no requirement to preach, get over it.

I'd forgot about Sydlik sitting on Dunlaps JC and that contemptible comment that spewed from his mouth, really shitty behaviour, unacceptable. -

Not that I'm complaining but I'm wondering if something is up
by joe134cd ini have physically not attended a meeting in 3 years and knew ttatt for about 6-18 months before that.
in that time i have only had 2 physical visit from the jws.
no return to jehovah brochure or memorial invite place under my door mat.

I cant see people making these stories up, the average body of elders in most congs are not what you say "models of efficiency" an ageing group stuck in a 1970's time warp struggling to embrace new technology, dwindling members of their congregations, constantly being scammed by HQ, lack of motivation, maybe they simply cant be bothered? -

The Modern Exodus: Perception or Reality?
by Hadriel ini'm completely new at this however just in my joining this forum and of course interacting with others i can't help but notice what appears to be a significant exodus from the organization.. for those of you that have long been in this game have you seen this before?
i'm really curious and we should refrain from the sensational, but is what we're seeing different than in years past?.
it sure seems like so so many are waking and leaving.

it certainly is an exodus albeit slow but steady , the interweb has been so fundamental in helping people get equipped with the info to leave this group, I Ieft when the interweb was very much in its embryo stage I really wonder how many it has helped, this forum alone has thousands of members, add social media, blogs,Amazon and eBay normal web platforms etc it truly is remarkable and it will continue. -
