is this one of the most dangerous loons to ever front the GB in their history post JR and CTR? on a par with Mad Freddie/Knorr/ and Jaracz!

Best statement a householder made to get you to leave them alone.

LOL PeteZaHut , those fables always end up with the same ending dont they? the most ridiculous was the Yakuza crime boss who had his own daughter murdered because she would not enter into the crime family because of her religious beliefs ect, naturally he became an elder because of his daughters stand

What not to say...
by joey jojo inhey guys.
i was recently talking to a old friend who is a very active elder.
i was talking about ' the truth' and he suggested i sounded like an apostate because i used terms like ' the society' and ' watchtower '.. i am aware that ' dubspeak ' has changed over the years and i am pretty sure that someone posted about it here but i can't find the thread.

yes there are buzz words that get their suspicions, I purposely use them though but the last time I used the buzz words and the over familiar regular jw terms the guy completely cut the conversation short as he suspected I was a former jw, they hate the term The Watchtower Society which I drop as much as possible, plus they also hate evangelical Christians buzz words like "born again, holy spirit,a close personnel relationship with JC etc"

ToesUP sums it up, the Come Back to Jeehovah" brochure was clearly a waste of time and no where near as many as they think will ever come back

I suppose so, as the years pass I get even less and less contact with anyone from my family (only one sister left) and my old cong or acquaintances, its been more than twenty years, who knows what label they've attached to me, do I care? of course not.

nothing whatsoever of any note, it was just their generally apathy, disinterestedness that made me realise what an utter pointless stupid waste of time it all was.

Last Week I Got A Call From An Elder I Haven't Seen In 20 Years...😳
by minimus inwhile i was at work i got a phone call from an elder i haven't seen in decades!
he started asking me questions about my family, my ex, and told me that he heard i "was no longer in the truth".
i got a little defensive and he quickly picked up on it and assured me his call had nothing to do with checking up on me regarding the religion.

Circuit Assemblies in the "Good Old Days"
by BluesBrother injust been reminiscing about how c/a's have changed since we were young.
i remember when they started friday night in some rented hall , as well as the two weekend days.
saturday morning was a brief session then field ministry (which only a few performed ) and sunday sessions.. in the free time around the venue we just used to hang out socialising and eyeing up the girls.

Half Banana, it would be interesting to find out whatever became of Broad in his final years, I remember his talks at Twickenham, a Bethel heavyweight and powerful speaker -

certainly do remember them, not with real fondness though, we had a beautiful old ass'embly hall in Dorking though close to a the high street, surrounded by a lovely park with a public swimming pool opposite, plus the luxury of a KFC close by frequented by the coloured brothers and sisters who couldn't stand the "honkey" food which was prepared on an industrial scale, it also included an ice cream and donuts kiosk, they sold it and built a new place, in the middle of nowhere, cold and devoid of any character then they closed the well equipped kitchen, it was never the same , I never had the privilege of attending the new format of "special day" conventions or whatever they call them now, iPads and video presentations FFS !
