  it has been 21 years since the 1995 article that pretty much buried the idea of the '1914 generation'.. remember those guys?

  the ones born in 1914 that would still be alive when the end of the system arrived.. i'm glad i'm old enough to remember going from door to door, preaching this belief.

  the reason i say that is because i have a lot of 'still in' jw friends and family.

  I remember working for a company in the mid 1980's and I was so sure that the end was so close and that the generation of 1914 was a brilliant inspired bible prophecy and was completely flawless , what with 1986 being The International Year Of Peace I was constantly speaking about it with them, they must have thought I was bonkers.30 years down the line...............

  Berkshire Circuit (UK)

  i'm hearing rumours of huge changes within the berkshire circuit here in the uk .

  congregations being dispanded and kingdom halls closing down and being sold off.... official announcements within the next month apparently .

  does anyone else have anymore info?.

  we were both regular pioneers and i was a ministerial servant.

  we were very much happy to be witnesses and doing our best to do more for the organization.

  Commercial activism.

  in his last couple of vlogs, john cedars is wearing a t-shirt saying shunned.

  some people liked it and asked him if they could purchase one.. in his last vlog (#111) he is advertising it and mentioned the link www.apostee.com, based in the us.

  comments attached to vlog # 110 mentioned the fact that this company will close in april and that the business will be continued by cedars itself, who has also a stock of anti-witness items.. besides that, he was not the owner of jwsurvey.org, but since january 16, 2016 he is.. it looks (as mentioned before by simon in an earlier thread), this guy is making a living from his activism, a paid career.. one should seriously question his true motives, demonstrated in his activism.

  D2D work has been almost wiped out where I live in a suburb of London, makes sense with the reduction of the WT/Awake mag and since the introduction of carts, I've seen them once recently on D2D for the first time in many years but I believe it was the build up to the memorial I do see them sometimes walking around the neighbourhood but it only seems to be on RV's. Increasing apathy from the R&F declining meeting attendances, congs being merged and liquidated,meetings reduced and you see a burnt out,demotivated,bored workforce.

  yep with a vengeance, last year my mother died, her dying wish was that I was'nt permitted to attend her funeral, by BiL was screaming down the phone to me like a madman informing me of it.
