by frozen one inevery june about 9,000 runners show up in this part of the world to race along lake superior in grandma's marathon.
last year, and also in 2005, the male winner was a kenyan named wesley ngetich.
as many will know there has been a lot of fighting in kenya since kenya's election in december.

my reserve unit was the USARMY 477th medical company ( ambulance) and we provided medical support for grandma's marathon.... an amazing event that amassed a community, from world-class athletes to determined wanna-be marathoners and all the volunteers that made it the celebration it always was/is....
what a senseless loss.... what a crying shame

If you could get a Bible Study to visit ONE WEBSITE....
by inkling inok, so right on the cusp of my awakening, i had a sorta-bible study with the man who had almost died in a nasty car wreak .
(he was saved by a like a gallon of tranfused blood, btw).
when i stopped going out in service, the study was taken over by a rather dimwitted witness on conservative side .

by chickpea inmy 14 yo daughter will be performing a solo in her high school's winter pops concert.... featuring the choirs and bands as well as individual talent..... she wrote music and lyrics, a sweet melody on the piano.....there are a few bands at the local "punk shows" that do a cover and when her papa and i first heard it we thought>>> d@mn, that even sounds good distorted!.
note: none of the mentioned "friends" are from the cong, where she was brutalized by the "it" girls as she has had weight issues since being on steroids for asthma when she was younger.
14 hour day.

just the update.....
she wore the same hoody she was wearing when she wrote the song..... came onstage and was unable to activate the little electric keyboard ( she practices on a parlour grand at home, what can i say?) and after the band director came to start the thing, she set off rocking the keys only to have a DEAD MIKE.....
by this time her possee was going wild and she started again and just blew everyone away..... at one point near the end she called out.... if you know the words ... sing!!!
you better believe i was singing....... off-key and at the top of my voice and so were about 100 other peeps... .....we had called her older sister who is away at school and let her listen in via cell phone.... a real kodak kinda moment
there's no one..... i 'd rather spend.... a 14 hour day with th-an you!!!!

i had a sharp pare of scissors in my hand and i was just so angry.
before i knew what happened i had thrust them forward... over and over... once i finally stopped i just couldn't believe the mess everywhere.

Ian (Dansk) in hospital with CMV

claire asked me to let the board know that ian is back in the hospital and expected to be there for about a week.. those of you who have been following the weekly vigil thread know that his cmv has returned.
the virus is not responding adequately to the tablets, so ian needs to be medicated intravenously.. please keep ian and claire in your prayers.. marjorie.

sorry that your developing an inquiring mind is threatening to your spouse's sense of well-being
dont be scared off by that reference about what dogs do when they empty their gastric contents.... often it is a curative response, expelling irritants and toxins.... then a cherry picking selective retrieval of nutrients, a response to a survival drive.... it is NORMAL for that species.... it is impossible to correlate it to human behaviour... the scripture is ridiculous in terms of humans.... you ever see a person exhibit that behaviour????
