Thanks, I used Cubase along with some sample libraries. I've never used Finale, but I've heard good things about it from others. I usually work with a piano roll editor instead of traditional music notation. It makes it easier for me to produce the sound file and is more appropriate for certain experimental tunings I sometimes work with that don't correspond to traditional notation. Later, I will convert it into regular music notation if it going to be performed or I want a score. I have used Harmony Assistant for that.

This isn't a song, but I wrote this piano trio at the same time I disassociated. Looking back, I think it was influenced by what I was going through.

First Movement

It's interesting that the Watchtower Society hasn't had this video pulled from Youtube. I have a few ideas of why this might be.

1. They may be waiting for the excitement to die down to try to prevent their actions from feeding into the viral effect. Unfortunately for them, this could take a while for this video.

2. It could be indecision. The Governing Body might be starting to realize that they don't know how to tame the Internet monster. They may be hoping that the problem will go away or the Governing Body might be unable to reach a two thirds majority decision.

3. They might be afraid of making this video more newsworthy. For now, it would be difficult for the mainstream media to cover this story without looking like they are making fun of either a religion or deaf people. However, if the Watchtower Society pulls a video that they put on the Internet in the first place, it could make for an interesting news story.

4. They might be afraid of Anonymous. They probably remember when Scientology kept trying to take down that infamous Tom Cruise video and it just fed into the publicity of the Anonymous operation. This resulted in worldwide protests and a PR disaster that dwarfed the current embarrassment of this video. There was some talk about this when the Watchtower Society was taking down the Sparlock videos, but those couldn't compare to that Tom Cruise video. This deaf masturbation video might have enough viral power to to cause a similar amount of trouble.

the watchtower society has been doing a lot of touching of the "unclean thing" lately.

for example, in an effort to warn their members about warriors, wizards and warrior wizards (just in case someone decided to mix the two types of abomination), they made a video about a child playing with a warrior wizard to show why it is wrong to play with warrior wizards or watch videos that contain them.. now they have made videos for the deaf that warn of the dangers of masturbation (and even oral and anal sex) by graphically and enthusiastically stimulating (i guess that should be simulating) the very acts that they are condemning.. is it any wonder that the watchtower society is being accused of sending mixed signals?.

normally, graphically simulating sexual acts would get a witness in trouble.

I apologize for any offense my comments may have caused. It was not my intent to characterize ASL as rude gestures.

I personally find the signs in the context of trying to instill guilt and fear among those watching to be rude and offensive.

I also find the presentation of the video to be inconsistent with the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses. They go to great lengths to condemn things like masturbation and visual depictions of it in videos or books, yet are willing to alter their standards when it involves an opportunity to control a group of people.

There is nothing wrong when using signs for things like masturbation when appropriate. However, neither the message nor the forum for that video is appropriate.

Normally, graphically simulating sexual acts would get a Witness in trouble. However, they have made videos doing that and placed them on their official and newly redesigned website. Is it OK because it is done with the intention of discouraging the behavior? Is it also OK to invent fictious "evil" characters like Sparlock the Warrior Wizard and put him in a video that makes him famous and results in his appearance on t-shirts and other merchandise as long as there is some kind of message that warrior wizards are bad. If so, is Ghost Busters an appropriate movie for Christians because the ghosts get busted?

Would masturbation be acceptable if a doctor recommended it to prevent cancer, improve immunity or boost mood?

i came across a series of youtube videos presented by an ex jw and thought the story he has to tell and the videos he presents are amazing.. the young man is only 19 years old, he was baptized at the age of 14. he has made over 150 videos.

many of his initial videos takes the viewer step by step through his judicial committees.

there is over 4 hours of taped video of the proceedings and he provides his own commentary after each 15 minute taping.. ethan was eventually disfellowhipped for three reasons.
