Memorial talk wt escape clause

this phrase switches from the forgiveness of sin part to the exclusive anointed club section of the memorial talk, and it is false because: the kingdom covenant was done after the passover was done.

and the promise of thrones and judging israel in math 19:28 was not a covenant but an assurance.

when i was an elder we had a sister who was known for providing oral pleasures to some people in the congo.

i was on the committee.

this girl for some odd reason was put on public reproof 4 times for the same thing.

King David danced till his clothes came off and ate the shewbread. Who are we to judge? She sounds too good to be a JW. I'm glad to know that Jehovah has placed free spirits in the organization so that maybe one day it actually is his, instead of it being eight empty suits being worshipped.

fyi, if you feel that scientology's tax-exempt status should be revoked, you can sign a white house petition to revoke its tax-exempt status at https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/revoke-scientologys-tax-exempt-status.. i signed the petition even though i have mixed feelings about this petition.

i would prefer that dangerous cults like scientology be reformed by suspending its tax-exempt status until it makes needed changes and i do not like targeting a specific organization when the whole system should be changed.

on the other hand this type of action may help to promote debate about revising the tax codes in the us.. i do prefer revising the tax code like i wrote about in revise tax code to protect children from sexual abuse .. peace be with you and everyone, who you love,.

Separation of Church and State are a national treasure. America is the oldest secular state, yet one of the most religious countries in the world. At the same time, a church that is doing more harm than good doesn't deserve tax free status except that it is better to have an impefect freedom of religion than an effecient regulation of religion.

The Bible Gods Word or Mans

i remember studying this book years ago and how it impacted my belief system.

i no longer believe the bible is god's word.

however i do have a couple of lingering questions on this subject.

Just reading the Bible, accepting it as God's word without the light of historical context is what breeds unbalanced fundamentalisms. The Bible was recompiled during the Babylonian captivity and also under the Persians. The Babylonians were idol worshipping Semites and the Persians also worshipped one omnibenevolent God. Those ideas made their mark not only on tradition but also on scripture. The parables of Jesus were Jewish parables that were originally Buddhist parables. My understanding of God's word in historical context has guided me to seeing the truth in other religions without feeling the need to convert to any of them or convert others over to my way of thinking, but still knowing that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of all human faith. Christ said he didn't come to condemn the world but to redeem it. Jehovah's Witnesses come to condemn the world for not bowing down to their empty suits.

i've read comments on this board that the spanish speaking congregations are stricter.

somehow i imagine pacific islander congregations are laxer because they aren't as at odds with the culture.

Somehow I imagine Pacific Islander congregations are laxer because they aren't as at odds with the culture. My father-in-law seems like a more liberal elder who naïvely led his family in when he was young and tries to manage the craziness imposed from above and abroad.

What's with the hijab?

the hijab is one of a few headdresses worn by muslim women.

from what i can tell, it is supposed to hide the femininity of the woman.

because i'm sure as a muslim, it's going to all be the woman's fault if a man acts improperly due to attraction.. i don't agree with it, but hey, it's their religion and it doesn't hurt others, so have at it if you want to wear it.. let's face it.

I think after 9-11 it became a political act. Just like my septugenarian doctor whose dad was Arab Muslim but was raised as an Irish-American Catholic by his Irish Catholic grandparents but got beat down after mouthing off at the cops and having the name Al (short for Allen) Hassan. Little did they know that he was both a decorated Marine who spent his life proving he was as American as anyone, and a Doctor and a Medical Lawyer. It took him 12 years but he got his pound of flesh from that city's coffers, and decided to grow a very Islamic looking beard after he realized an Arab is an Arab is an Arab in post 9-11 America.

I keep on telling my stepkids that their mother is right, that they should pay attention in the meetings and that the more they pay attention, the more they will realize it is b.s. but if they passively accept it as the truth without thinking critically then they are already spiritually dead.
